Cleveland gonna be tight once that $50m+ kicks in for Watson. Wonder if they have any protection from his legal worries.
Their protection is his $1 million base salary year 1 of the deal. After that there are always ways out if there are legal issues in every contract.

He wasn't present for their playoff game either

And I can't recall who tweeted it. So feel free to doubt it! :laugh3:
If it's true, it would have to be more than that. I mean, as long as the offer is good why would you go to the colts when you could play for the rams just because you had to wait a couple weeks to sign. Doesn't sound right.

My guess is guaranteed $$$ because he would be a dumbass if it was because he had to wait for 3 more weeks. And Mama Gilmore didn’t raise no dumbass.

.

With regards to comp picks, surely Von will net the Rams a 3rd round pick.

Won't Williams and Robinson cancel each other out?

.

His many years in the league prevent Von Miller from garnering anything higher than 5'th round compensation.

And yes, Williams/Robinson are likely to cancel each other.

Why wouldn't Von Miller's deal cancel out Robinson's? 20 mil per year vs 15 mil per year.

That would leave.....DWill 3 yrs/30 mil, SJD 3 yrs/24 mil and Corbett 3 yrs/26.5 mil (4th, 5th and 6th?)

It's very early and it can change but right now they do. As of now projections have us as 2 5ths for Williams and Corbett a 6th for SJD and a 7th for Obo. That's for 2023 comp picks but again it's early.

Yeah, I read a few years back that the formula, yet to be made public for obvious reasons, takes into account the players salary, length of contract and performance for the new team. More playing time/production can make it a higher comp pick. But that's just speculation. There was a random guy on the net who used to predict the comp picks (using that formula) and was pretty damn close every year. I don't know if he still does it....probably has a job in the NFL by now!

Yeah overthecap.com is very good at it the picks I listed were from their chart.

That's too bad I liked him as a prospect last year and wanted to sign him as a UDFA
Yeah he just never showed enough to get game action. Three teams in a year a UDFA with the Lions and no snaps. Always liked him too in the draft but if he makes it he's going to be the definition of a late bloomer.
