Niners getting poached like crazy. Apparently their defensive line coach may go to Houston. He's been the captain of the group that chews us up every year.

I am not buying Brock Purdy yet. I see a QB with limited athleticism who did a damn good job in a near perfect situation.

Take away that near perfect situation, I think he crashes down to earth.

Well, Purdy won't be back this year with reconstructive Tommy John surgery, so who knows how he responds in 2024-2025?

One thing I think is not happening enough is Coach Shanny NOT getting much if any criticism that he had a backup TE trying to block Hassan Reddick on the play that got Purdy injured.
This, IMO, was just lousy design by a coach that is well known for his offensive game planning.
The fact remains that Shanny himself bears a lot of responsibility for getting Purdy injured.
(OBTW he tried this again and again Reddick easily beat the hapless attempt of a block and drilled Purdy a second time..)

I hate all things Whiner, and relish in every bad thing that happens to them. In this case though, I am conflicted. You can have your own doubts as to whether Purdy is the next Warner, but you can't argue his story starts out roughly the same.

I do feel sorry for HIM. The Whiners can go F themselves.

They’ll be fine at QB. Key word, fine, as in winning a lot of games and efficient QB numbers. They aren’t going to win a championship without an elite QB though.

Are starting 9ers OL'ers UFA's OC Jake Brendel & OG Daniel Brunskill worthy of Rams consideration? Both held up well against the Philly DL.

Great Kid and do not wish that on anyone. The story, his parents and Purdy himself all fantastic, the team he plays for bad, very, very bad.

Precisely this. Shanny's offense will at some point run into a defense in the playoffs that can shut down the run game. What then.

What?! Have you forgotten last year's NFC Championship game when WE shut down their run game? I believe it was something like 20 carries for a paltry 50 yards.
The Whiners only scored 17 points and didn't wear us down by dominating time of possession.
That game is the blue print for beating the Whiners....

He didn’t look any better than Garapolo when under pressure. I can’t recall who but one former NFL QB was saying that Purdy makes some cringeworthy throws and doesn’t have the arm talent that NFL teams want. That’s why he was a 7th round pick.

He probably figured that he handled Reddick easily enough when they played the Cards twice a year. So he mistakenly was not worried.

For anyone that might've missed it & if you have an hour to burn, the Grant Cohn post game was gold (link below).

It was a real pleasure to listen to. Among other things, Cohn talks about asking Shanny about the Reddick block at the press conference (and Shanny's not so happy response(s)) and about holding Shanny responsible for all their QB injuries this year.

9ers personal troll / fan starts his rant on Ratboy at 1:10.

I said it before, if you meet at the QB, Purdy will just throw it up for grabs. He did it more than once but against the Raiders, he threw it up for grabs and it just happened to land in the arms of that Chinese receiver (Aiyuk). The Raiders QB hits his hand on the helmet of a defender shortly after that and it lands in the hands of a whiner defender who runs it back into FG range in OT. Causing the Raiders to lose.

On another note, can you imagine how sick Ebukam must feel now after the Rams beat the whiners and won the SB and then the whiners have another good season only to lose in the NFCCG again?

It’s getting tiring listening to whiners fans complain that they were the best team or that the Eagles didn’t deserve to win because Purdy was their 4th string QB. Still, I prefer it a thousand times over having to hear about the next ‘Tom Brady’ because of a 9ers win.

The Eagles were the #1 team in the NFC most of the season and had the #1 seed entering the playoffs. It wouldn't have even been close if Hurts didn't get injured and sit out a few games. Plus the whiners #1 defense gave up 31 points so let's stop any talk that the whiners only lost because Purdy got hurt.

Whiners gonna be whiners. It took me until 3 years ago to finally conclude there are no good whiner fans. So full of excuses and blame when they lose. So full of disrespect when they win. Pats fans are the closest but a distance second to them.
