This makes me appreciate our Rams even more. GB is going to screw themselves out of a MVP caliber QB and WR by being cheap. If they keep this up they won't be on top of their division for long.

The Rams pay guys and take risks and even though they have been burned im glad they continue to do whatever it takes to be competitive. GB never would've had the balls to pull off a move like the Rams did to aquire Ramsey and Stafford. Thank goodness for Stan and the Rams front office.

The Packers may be restricted by its corporate structure. There may be limits in borrowing as well as a lack of cash on hand to pay extreme bonuses for top tier contracts.

I dunno.

Idk, they supposedly offered to make Rodgers the highest paid player in the league so they can't be too restricted. And since he didn't take it, if true, they've got plenty of extra future cash to spend suddenly. Maybe they just view Adams as a product of Rodgers talent and don't view him as the best WR in the league? And maybe Adams is just instructing his agent to be unreasonable because he wants out after the drama between FO and AR. Either way, it's bad for the Packers so that's a plus in my book.

It Green Bay can’t pay players & draft a backup QB then WTF ? Aaron Rogers had a lot of value in The NFL ,Denver & 9ers as examples.A bidding war could have taken place.
Look at what The Rams gave up for Stafford.

Rams tried to claim C Lamont Gaillard off waivers

The Los Angeles Rams plan to start Austin Corbett at center this season, but they might be on the lookout for help at the position. According to Field Yates of ESPN, the Rams attempted to claim center Lamont Gaillard, but the Bengals also claimed him and were higher on the waiver list.

The Giants attempted to claim Gaillard, as well, which shows he was a fairly hot commodity on the waiver wire.

It was the Arizona Cardinals who cut Gaillard this week, which allowed him to hit waivers. He was a sixth-round pick in 2019 and was active for 13 games with the Cardinals last season, making two starts.

For the Rams, Brian Allen is expected to be the backup to Corbett, though Coleman Shelton could also factor into the mix as a reserve center. If they were to claim Gaillard, it would’ve added some competition to the offensive line group.

Just shows about Brian Allen being a bust ? Either way The Rams claimed Coleman from Arizona ,which shows Gailard might be the better player ?
Then again how good are the backup guards & tackles ?I’ve been always drinking the Kool-aide,but still not sold on the unproven.

LT Whitworth- Noteboom the future

LG David Edwards (back-up ?)

C- Austin Corbett (has never played C)

RG- Bobby Evans (never has played RG)

RT- Rob Havenstien ( back-up ?)

IMO, adding a player that had some experience playing Center was not a bad move to take a look at, not sure if that showcases they are not confident in some of the backups. Coleman Shelton played quite a bit of Center at the University of Washington, plus they also have Chandler Brewer (Tackle & Guard) and Tremayne Anchrum (Tackle & Guard) so they made that move to look at another player.

You might be finally right about Brian Allen and maybe that is who they are looking to replace, but Shelton has good size and I for one believe Corbett is ready to make the switch and be an total asset at Center.

Chandler Jones is in no man's land. These are always tricky situations when a player of his caliper is coming off an injury and in the final year of his contract. Nice distraction if you are a Rams fan. Should he come in late and not in game shape the chances of injury are magnified.

Watson lost his leverage with the allegations so not surprising. I doubt he reports if he didn't have the other drama going on. But right now he probably needs to make sure he holds onto every dollar he can.
