I remember Snead lamenting the loss of Brockers in the playoffs and how that completely changed the complexion of the game. Seems like the Myers pick provides essential depth to withstand that type of loss the way the Rams weren't able to against the Falcons
At first glance, can't say I love the Allen pick, but I haven't watched him enough to make a solid judgment.
Love Obo.
Ive watched enough of Kiser to say he is my least favorite pick out the guys Ive seen on tape. On the bright side I was shocked by his athletic testing after watching his tape so maybe there is some upside there.
Kizer wouldn't fit well in a 4-3, but he's perfect here. He doesn't play to his timed speed. But he's a thumper with plus instincts. He'll fit well next to Barron and do the dirty work. He's also smart enough to not be a total coverage liability.
As for the loss of Brockers, I think Suh makes up for that. It shifts Westbrooks to the rotation. That means a loss of Brockers still leaves us with Suh and Donald and has Westbrooks fill in. Last year, we had Donald and Westbrooks with Tyrunn or Fox filling in for Brockers. But I don't have an issue with Franklin-Myers. He's a fine developmental pick. My issue was taking him with the other players on the board.
