Todd Gurley 1-on-1 with Marshall Faulk

Gurley said "one thing I learned about LA is if you ain't winning or doing good they could care less about you".

(obviously he means couldn't care less but that's a common mistake I have friends that say it all the time drives me nuts)

This is just true in every market and every sport. It's so expensive these days that it's difficult to garner support even with 20+million people in a market. Sports have become so prevalent these days and there are so many options that people will bandwagon if they aren't entertained.

LA Times: Brockers

Huh Brockers at DE. I seem to remember a couple people saying we should put him there before the season and catching a lot of grief for that. Too bad we didn't draft a run stuffing NT because Smart as a rotational DE would have been great behind Brockers and AD.

Give Smart a chance. He's a squatty dude who brings a ton of energy. Wade loves those undersized NTs who can get into the backfield. I want to see what he can develop into as he gets more comfortable in the scheme.

This time in history (2000)

Kurt and the GSOT were the best.

Others scored more in a season, but much of that was Kurt and Co on the bench midway through the 3rd quarter because they'd already dropped a 40 burger and were up 40-17 and were playing for a championship.

If this were more like college where point differential mattered and running up the score wasn't frowned upon, I could easily see the GSOT averaging over 40ppg.

I can't imagine the numbers if Kurt and Co played pedal to the metal for 60 mins.

Seattle Sports Media Freaking...

I endured the the entire podcast.

Found out the Hags offensive line has jelled. o_O Eddie Lacy will get carries and needs a little space to get going. Hope he gained another 20 Lbs since camp ended. They really did get why Goff looked bad last year. Marcus Smith bust in Phila replaced Avril and had a sack and half with a fumble last week. One of the guys was OK.

My Goff Prediction....Jared, WTF?

Here are some predictions.

I'm right with you..last night shook me a little.

However, I believe Cooper Kupp is legit. I believe Todd Gurley is going to have a big year. I believe Sammy Watkins is the first #1 WR we have had since a healthy Torry Holt. Reynolds could become our next #1 WR..Everrett!!! All of these weapons will make Goff much better than we saw last night. It may be there are some things that Goff can fix in his game. WITH them:
Goff 4500 yards, 30 TD's, 12 INTS....that was my prediction before last nights game. I am still saying that, but now it's half prayer/half conviction...

How Rams Coach Sean McVay Turned Around the Worst Offense in the NFL

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

It is sooooo refreshing to see a team where, if they go down by double digits, you do not feel doomed.

I just sat there last week, amongst all those DAL fans... going down by double digits twice but never feeling like the Rams weren't still in that game and had a real chance to win it.

Down 17-6... down 24-13... but, still, felt they were still in that game.

It's simply remarkable what this coaching staff has been able to accomplish in such a short period of time.

We'll see what happens Sunday but last week filled my belly with enough satisfaction to last a while.
