Yep. I rarely watch Washington but I'll be tuned in now.Ok, now you really have to watch the game tonight
We can't lose with the Shitters on Monday night. If they get a meaningless win it helps us and fucks their draft pick. If they lose we can laugh at them.I refuse to root for San Fran. If the Commodes lose, I'll just have to wait for next week to celebrate.
It’s still good to have the first pick. A team could want to trade up for their top player, wether it’s a QB, a guy like Abdul Carter, Hunter, etc…Not sure the top pick is a big deal this year. No clear franchise changer. No clear cut top QB. The Miami kid sitting out the 2nd half of the bowl game puts some question on his character. Sanders is not a slam dunk star and his dad could be a headache.
I love a good defensive struggle type game. But I don't think this one was that. Some would say it was a defensive struggle. Others would call it a football struggle.
wtf? I didn’t know Roman Gabriel was an Eagle? Yuck! HahaI was a Rams fan before this, but this season was the first season where I really became aware of the NFL. It was so fun to see and hear names that I haven't heard in decades. Mercury Morris, Johnny Unitas (passed 40,000 yards in this week) and many more. Woodall filled in for an injured Joe Namath in the Jets game. Namath was quoted as saying that John Hadl was the best passer in the league (lol @den-the-coach ). The Eagles' Roman Gabriel dueled with the Redskins' back up QB Sonny Jerginson while healthy starter Billy Kilmer stalked the sideline.
It's interesting to remember the powerhouse teams in 1973 like the Miami Dolphins (defending World Champs), Steelers, Vikings and Cowboys..
I also realized why I was less familiar with Olinemen's names, Dbacks, etc... on the Rams because I rarely got to see a game on TV at 10 yrs old and only heard about the stars making big plays in the highlights and rarely read a sports page (Don't remember Dad taking a paper back then). This changed quite a bit after I saw a game in person when the Browns played the Rams that year. I believe Dad was gifted those tickets and he took me to the game. We went to Dodgers games much more frequently (less expensive?). Anyway, enjoy this old timers.... You too @Corbin !

I doubt Jake Paul ever bragged about that fight.Tyson fought like he had no gas… the idea that Jake Paul can say he beat Tyson… makes me sick to my stomach.
What was all that training for??? I mean, the paycheck, sure, but the saddest part was seeing Iron Mike have no dawg in him…
Hopefully, this is the end for this type of fight.
Dude this victory lap is longer than a So-Ram thread.
Sometimes he looks too tentative to take shots. He also looks like he’s taking to long to make a decision in some games. He may have gone top five based on physical tools but he either needs more playing time or isn’t a quick enough thinker to succeed in the NFL. I’m pretty sure he started playing football in high school, which could explain his processing speed. It was a smart move for his needed experience.
But, IMO, he still would have been a top 5 pick in 2025 with a strong pre-draft process.
I was around.Just my recollection and opinion.
I loved watching Dickerson run. He was truly great. However, over the past three decades, I have found Dickerson’s comments about the past debate able, at best … and, occasionally, entertaining fantasy.
The Bears 46 Defense always played the run first, and then went to Kill the Quarterback.
They didn’t load-the-box for Dickerson in the 1985 NFC Championship. The box was already loaded. Six of the Bears front Seven were legitimate Pro Bowl players. Three of them were Hall of Famers; and, arguably, it could have been five.
The 1985 Rams’ offensive line had four Pro Bowl players; and the 5th (Irv Pankey) was really good. The Bears defensive front dominated the Rams’ O-Line that awful Sunday, as it did the week before in the Divisional Round and a couple weeks later in the Super Bowl.
If Eric Dickerson thinks the Rams were a ‘halfway competent QB’ away from winning that game, THAT is fantasy world stupid, in my opinion.
Anyway, that’s my memory … and, these days, I can sometimes forget my address … but I would love to hear what some posters who were around in 1985 (but not kids) recall and think.
But it would be a shame to be forced to return it to sender; I hate to do that with Christmas/Hanukkah gifts.Nice, but you would be over the moon with KU gear for Christmas!
