I would be excited if I was a Lions fan. They need another WR to pair with Brown while Raymond as their speedy slot guy. Hockenson is great and their oline is developing well. Try Goff for another year and if they want they can pull the ripcord in another year after the overall team is more talented. They get the right OC in there and they have talent to be good enough next season.

They just need a serious talent infusion on defense... in particular they need pass rushers because they are terrible in that category. Get another WR, maybe a guard, and put the rest of his chips in defense and Holmes got himself a team next year.

I am in the minority when I admit that there is a small matchup issue in play here, but it's really all about execution and momentum. I literally exclaimed "WTF" out loud when I saw the empty backfield on 3rd and 1 and we were UP 17-0. That sack never should have happened and the next time the Rams offense took a snap it was 17-10 and the 9ers had ALL the momentum.

Even with that, we had the game won on some gritty performances by Stafford and Kupp to get that go-ahead TD and some great defense to get that 3 and out sack. But then what? We run the ball 3 times and give them back momentum, and predictably shift into prevent mode so they can tie the game and send it to OT.

If we don't shoot ourselves in the foot, we win that game 33-0. Same matchup. Different result. Based on our EXECUTION.

Yeah I didn't like conceding there. But the pass pro was overrun at that point. Making them drive vs our defense... Sometimes that happens and when it does you gotta get the stop.

Same with the offense getting that last possession. This was a team loss.

But all that matters is whether the Rams grow from this. They're a hell of a team. If they emerge from this loss with better pass pro and some better back end comms they will be stronger for it.

New season and our team is hungry and ready to go. Every game this playoffs is gonna be a dog fight. Rams gotta shake this one off and get busy.

I look at it this way. We aren't hurting as much as the Card fans are. They gave away the division title twice. My neighbors are seething mad at Kliff.

Some are saying the "Rams backed into the title" with the response "because Kliff backed the Cards out". Others are posting how they had 5 chances to lock up the division and lost those games. They are all saying that maybe they will get the Bad Stafford. Most are saying they will be one and done. Yeah, the Card fans are more miserable right now than Ram fans and everyone is pointing fingers at Kliff with some saying they should trade Kliff to McVay for a 7th round pick.

It's really hard to stick with the run when your line is doing so poorly that you are getting 2 yards or less and often negative plays. Especially against a team that can pass rush like they do on third and long.

Yeah. This year hasn't really produced that run-heavy, defensive stalwart team that could survive losing a QB. The Titans might be the closest with Henry, but their defense isn't that great. There are some teams like the Rams that could survive a game early in the playoffs, but no way they're making it all the way to a Super Bowl win without Stafford.

Lemme guess... Dallas and their fans going nuts about dropping 50 on the Eagles who were playing their 2nd string.

Are opponents ready for a 1-2 RB tag-team punch of Cam and Sony with Matthew utilizing play action passing to keep the defense honest? Can you even imagine how explosive! this offense would be with a healthy Robert Woods added to the mix?
