When watching Goff in college his accuracy was one of the things that won me over. Now he seems to be off target a lot. Even in the completed passes. I have no clue why this is. Anybody have a theory?
El Paso is the halfway point from Dallas to Las Angeles.
Yep, I saw it too...Sad tale...I point to his upbringing with his mom. She allowed a boyfriend of hers to Pee on his back to discipline him for something. Probably developed a lack of respect for women at this point.
Two pairs socks, underwear, and shirts are typical prison garb. Dudes double up...
Something is truly wrong with the dept. of children services...I mean, some can get out of there unscathed and normal, but the majority are broken.
In los angeles in the 80's & 90's, many athletes wanted to play for Nebraska or Oklahoma...they were traditional power houses...You'd think that his talent would keep him out of trouble...Rather, the realization that he could probably be very wealthy if he just stayed clean shoulda kept him on the straight and narrow road. Too many demon in his mind.
By the time he ran over those kids in the park, I bet he figured his life was over...Stealing from him just enraged a guy that was ready to pop.
That sounds like Mel.
Does that extend to your posting as well? I find myself deleting sentences or entire posts because I didn't think it through due to being excited or upset.
Seattle's Wilson rookie year, the Seachickens had just signed a FA QB for 10 million dollars. I'm no Pete fan, but that decision to go with the rookie instead of the vet (that didn't play poorly) is what separates winners from losers. We have erred at these critical moments repeated at multiple positions for years. What if the new coach values competition and Mannion outplays Goff what happens then..
And if it happens I suppose I will roll with it like always. But key differences in what you are talking about is that John Elway was and still is a pretty sharp businessman outside of football. He also owned an arena league team for 6 years. Marino was only VP at Miami for the blink of an eye and not sure how much he is really involved at this point. Dickerson hasn't really done much of anything after football beyond a small memorabilia company and wagging his tongue. I simply don't see him as GM material. Now - taking on an advisory role and see how he does? Sure. We know he is passionate about the team. Giving him a job having to do with something he is passionate about? Maybe he takes it and runs with it - obvious pun unintended. How and why....hmm...
I see being a general manager's job as assembling talented scouts in various regions of the country. And the ability to recognize talent. Special talent, that will translate to the pro level. I see former players as excellent candidates. In either capacity. No one believed Elway could be a great GM/President, when in fact he appears to be one of the best now. They said the same about Dan Marino in Miami....Not sure what he does down there but the results haven't panned out. The only question in my mind is, will ED put in the work. Just by listening to him, he seems passionate about the RAMS...Lives in LA and actually wants the job. Sounds like a match to me. As I have said previously, I don't believe evaluating college talent is necessarily hard....if you know what you're looking for.
The fact that it will be dug into the ground 100 ft won't hurt. That noise will will have nowhere to escape, it will be like the "Pit" in New Mexico, LOUD. The roof thingy will help as well.I heard the Designers that designed the New "Digs" designed it with THIS^ in mind!!:snicker::shades:
Yyes there is some skills that Goff may can utilize in 2017 like his HANDS. But there are some short comings here too little short, no length small catch radius (should not be an issue for a QB like Goff though) looses out when he is contested for balls by DB's, has Zero wiggle & has no agility in open field. The biggest thing is Cooper lacks any top end speed runs a consistent 40-yard dash: 4.63 seconds. Our MLB'er Tree has an easy 40 Yard Dash in 4.7 Secsreally like the potential here
IMHO Scheme and play calling are 80% of the lines problem (mostly scheme). Talent on the line is there. There are only 2 or 3 teams in the NFL with elite OL talent across the board, most teams have 1 maybe two "good" players then plug the rest in with journeymen.Boudreau is a real good teacher. I mean, real good. I've heard him speak about his craft a few times, and he oozes knowledge. Maybe he's not a good motivator or something, because I don't think this is a failure on his part. These guys *have to* know how to play the position, individually, but somehow they're not doing it together. Maybe they just need a new scheme and someone who can tap into their inner strength. I dunno. It's perplexing to say the least.
Goff is the real deal. He wanted to score the TD, but did not look up the field to see that Sherman wanted to welcome him to the NFL.
That's a rookie mistake and a great lesson for Goff to learn.
With the remaining games on schedule, Goff will get a lot of reps and learning experience.
Next year when the game slows down for him and for the Rams to get some new OL (Center, LG and RG) plus receivers who know how to play football, Goff is going to tear up the league.
Every other game the fans would be chanting for a different QB.Despite the fact that I laughed out loud....can you imagine the freakin HYPE train around this guy in LA??? OMFG it would be bigger than Fernando Mania
OK, I usually don't complain about refs (because I am one for HS) but tonight was brutal. Hager was actually a good call. How many times was #99 held?? Every other play. It was absurd.
On Sherman's "great play" he knocked Austin off his route, that's DPI.
The Dline holding Havenstein.
Rob Quinn had the back surgery this time back in 2015, yes about a year ago. So there could be some hope that time of about 19 months later that back issue could be remarkable better. Problem is the back was not the issue this season. But a new list of new injuries this season....Shoulder, Chest, illness, Concussion & a overnight stay in the hospital for dehydration??? All of these injuries & mainly his second concussion sent him to the Injured Reserve. He just had back surgery this offseason.
