I think its more the fact that he is still so so good on a bad team .... and we have had deserving players on bad teams and they never made it due to other players that had the name but not the stats to back it up so pardon me if I'm not boo hooing over other teams players who haven't made itI can clearly agree with this. He is our best player...But several defenders (Ogletree, Barron, TJ MacDonald) are finally closing the gap.
@TheDYVKX
My bad...not trying to beat you over the head....But I think you guys want him in the pro bowl because of what UK is saying...he's OUR best player...not necessarily better/more deserving than others at his position.
I agree with all of this, totally. I don't think Fisher was a "name" coach, I think like you said he checked all the boxes, but sadly the red flags about him pretty much all came with him.I do feel strongly that we need a person who has had established success as a successful HC in the NFL at some point... ideally, a long track record of success (not some super nova crap). The Fisher hire fit some of that, but - if you actually looked under the hood at his record as a HC - it might have given you some hesitation. But, he was a name for sure... learn from that mistake. The new guy has to have a proven record of sustained success.
I think Gruden fits that bill, as does Payton.
I really like Shaw but I get nervous because he has no NFL HC experience.
He only had 3 days to prepare, then he shouldn't have been focusing on an ill conceived fake punt that everyone was expecting.Who is painting him as a hero. He had 3 days to prepare a team. What did they have to lose nothing I didn't have a problem with the call and it's only stupid when it doesn't work. This team has nothing to fight for so why not go all out
There is strong evidence we are.At this point, I'm just hoping for no injuries.
Can we field a B-team?
Give me the Blue Note games.![]()
Heard the same interview. King says Rams were very high on Schiano before they hired Fisher and he may be in play again now.uke:
I think we miss Ray Ray and Bates...The 49ers announced Monday that they have signed linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong to a two-year contract extension.
Here's a review of what I know.....in an attempt to answer your riddle.:santa:I do think its much bigger than GRob.You are my favorite "go to" guy regarding OL matters, Bonifay. Let me riddle you this... Why in the world would all 5 OL starters simultaneously take a step backward in '16? This dilemma is far more than just about GRob. I don't see any way that it's not at least significantly related to coaching. Therefore, new coaching might enable the Rams to dramatically improve their OL play. GRob could be starter at LOT or riding the pine in '17 or somewhere in between.
Respect your opinion Mac...I'm agreeing with you that Goff has flaws.
I think I may disagree as to the extent of those flaws or perhaps the attribution.
So all the fumbles, and bad throws in cold weather is just what? didn't even wanna PASS in the rain...hell yeah, hand size matters..maybe bigger hands he puts that ball on Quick in the endzone....How many of you still give a crap about Goffs "small hands"?
What was your handle on the yahoo Rams board same as here?
It also made no sense to omit that 10-5-1 49ers team got their ass whooped 49-3 in the playoffs in one of the most beautiful NFL games of all-time.I read this twice and the middle part of it made no sense whatsoever ...
Without that balance, the under-talented Keenum and the inexperienced Goff have struggled to take advantage of the roster’s talented receiving corps,
Exactly...my solution is to move our franchise LT to RT....let Havenstein ride the bench...He's given up enough sacks this year to prove last year was a fluke. Dude doesn't have the ability to be a productive player in the league right now...and that's not coaching...that's the scouts. So his online last year helped him get to the pro bowl (pretty much the same five players minus Reynolds ) and the guy that gave up exactly zero sacks last year is suddenly sucky ... can we upgrade over Hav ? Yeah ... but I'd look at other positions before I'd go after him ... like our "franchise" LT
