Alaric Jackson health watch

I believe our heavyweight asses are due primarily to eating processed food.

I went to France two years ago and I saw one - count em - one French person overweight.

And that was looking at ALL age groups.

Processed food is killing us.

I know they walk a lot more but I know people who do about the same amount of walking and are still overweight.
That and sugary drinks, corn syrup based drinks. Gives you essentially a sugar gut, like a beer gut.

Rams revealed: Emmanuel Forbes

Forbes is an easy guy to root for. Excellent pickup by the Rams.
His punch out showed off his talent as a CB.I’ve felt he started off a little scared & cautious.

Seeing him get that punch out & his confidence build should only do wonders. I love the way he has always believed in himself, and by getting cut ,going through adversity is only going to make him better.

His heart & trust in Mcvay & The Rams is real Kool 2 see. He is humble & shows grace. There is that in these players & there SO many examples on this TEAM!!

Ahkello has been The Leader of this (CB)DB group.Like the way E.Forbes is talking to the opportunity of being The Man at CB.Heard a Podcaster sort of show his lack of knowledge towards certain things.Heard was a poster around here & gives good 411,but saying Forbes is The number 3 CB against PHILLY!! What Ahkello has done is been able to defend the bigger WR’s like a AJ Brown. Ahkello admitted he has trouble with say a D.Smith(T.Hill) type players.
IMO - Forbes will & can do some off those same things.D.Williams is underrated still. He should be able to do the same things he always has. Colbie Durant has from DAY 1 been a ball hawk.Seen it many of times in training camp, especially his rookie year when doubting his size.In ZONE he finds a way to catch the ball,be in position to defend.

ROD (and reel) Fishing Thread

One of my friends is down in Guatemala on a fishing trip right now. He caught a fish that I have always wanted to catch but I'm still looking for my first one. It's a Rooster fish. Their dorsal fins are so wild. It's not a fish for eating, it's a fish that puts up a battle royal when you hook one. I'd love to catch one and get it mounted. They are so cool looking to me...

GAME DAY MNF - Bucs at Texans / Chargers at Raiders

The NFL is such a wonderfully brutal sport for fans ... Great, Exciting Wins ... Heart-breaking, Brutal Losses.

Ain't no sport like it.

Oh sure, @Loyal will argue that Curling is more exciting ... but he just watches it for the T&A ...

Well, I got into it after watching @CGI_Ram win the Intergalactic Curling Championship in Fargo...

The Financial Hack That Built the Eagles Into the NFL’s Super Team

Saw a video on it recently. Basically, Phillly is betting the cap goes up by like double due to a new TV deal coming soon. Also, he sold a percentage of the team to get the money. Seem to have been a good move though as the value of the team has dramatically increased AND they have kept their talent together.

But all this talk about their GM being the greatest ever is ridiculous if you factor in what is essentially a no cap situation.

Sanders Poll

I have always hated Deion and his I am to good to do the dirty work and look at me attitude. I wanted so bad for someone to lay him out, but he felt he was to good to tackle anyone so it never happened. Now, it is to bad his son has to lay in the bed his father shit in, but Deion finally got his ass kicked.
I can remember hating on this Atlanta Falcon kid so.......bad.........
I remember seeing him pick off a Rams QB (Miller ?) and doing that hand behind the head high step along the Rams sideline. I used to dream of some Rams 8th string backup center coming off the bench and close lining him by the neck so hard he layed on the ground and did not move.
Now seeing the video of Dion's kid, his room and all that bling, rich kid with this giant attitude that his play could not back up. He makes me want to puke and seeing him fall, humbled is nothing short of glorious.

My son caught these Snook yesterday. Frying these up after the game.

Snook are one of the best tasting fish in the ocean. You can’t buy the meat though... not allowed to be sold commercially, so most people never get to taste one. Super mild white flakey meat... zero fishy taste.

A snook? Why it is preposterous. One fish two fish, red fish, blue fish.

Rams PFF grades: Best and worst performers vs. Texans in Week 1

I am concerned about Limmer at LG. First off the Eagle game might still be in his head, plus although an excellent run blocker, Limmer is a sieve in pass protection and I truly wish they would go with Dedich over him or even give Wyatt Bowles an opportunity because I have no confidence after the Texan game in Limmer protecting Stafford.

The knock on Limmer coming out of the draft and why he slipped was because of his inability to play Guard, most felt he was a center only and now he is playing guard. Hope I am wrong and Limmer answers the call come Sunday Morn.
Well good call, and glad The Rams listen to you putting Dedich in at LG.I think I was sort of on the same page.

PREGAME Rams at Titans - Pregame Thread

Avila has been underwhelming since his rookie season. I wonder if Dedich has a very solid game against the Titans if the Rams ride with him until proven otherwise. It's a tall task but I'm all for better play at the LG position.
You called it on Dedich over Limmer ... I don't like it when you're right ... things seem out-of-balance.

Seriously though ... Good Call

Shout out to Kirk Ferentz

Not only are the uniforms of the Iowa and the Pittsburgh Steelers the same colors, but their coaching tenures too. The Steelers have had three Head Coaches since 1969 and as @IowaRam so eloquently communicated, the Hawkeyes have had only two Head Coaches since 1979.

Ferentz came to Iowa City after being the OL Coach for (you guessed it) of the Pittsburgh Steelers. I was very impressed with Ferentz because he had multiple opportunities to move to higher profile programs and the NFL too, however, he loved Iowa and chose to stay there. Ferentz is a throwback Head Coach and over the years his offenses have been compared to root canal, but his teams are always well coached and they don't get many 4 or 5 star recruits, so Ferentz and his staff always have to coach up the personnel.

Congrats to Coach Ferentz, truly an outstanding Head Coach and even a better human being.
