Its not greed, its about capability. They cant show something they dont have access to. How did you get a $200 discount? I know they ran pricing specials
It's probably the new user 1st time sign-up discount. I used my wife's email and youtube this year to get that discount, where renewing my previous year's purchase with my email instead was the $500 cost. If it's the same next year, I'll probably use another relative to get it, like my father or one of my kids, then set up a new family group in Youtube. That's what I did this year to get that discount.

I have YoutubeTV for my cable provider. They offered me the same discount and I took it. I'm guessing its because I'm already a YoutubeTV subscriber. It did say it will automatically renew next year at the full price so I gotta cancel it when the season is over.

It's the league's/owners' greed creating all these multiple broadcast packages; each network or whatever having to up their price for access. Got a $200 from phone company. Some perk thing they were offering. I think it would've been more of a discount if I didn't already subscribe to it in the last several years.

You mean the league owners and players right?

Lol I guess, if they're in on the wheelin' and dealin!

I gotta watch, so yeah I'm perpetuating this, but still. I miss the ability to see every playoff game over the air if that's all I had— or hell, to be able to see every regular season game if I paid the exorbitant price for The Ticket! That's another thing. They've removed games from this package in order for other outlets to have games and yet the price increases for less content!

It's like a drug and the NFL is the drug dealer. You likey? You pay. I'll admit, I'm hooked and will pay any amount to watch the Rams play every game. No complaints here.
That's where I'm at as well.

Overpriced? Ridiculously greedy owners?

Yes.

But damn that product is good. I no longer watch the NBA,. Baseball bores me to tears, and hockey just doesn't quite compare. College football is pretty fun, but the blowouts aren't like the every-game-is-a-nailbiter-NFL.

Looks like the NFL will keep raising prices and the customers will keep paying it.

I still like watching baseball but NFL is king by a fairly wide margin. I do like watching college games. Oddly their officiating seems to be head and shoulders better than NFL.

I used to love watching the Lakers but I haven’t watched a game in 2 years and I manage sports bars. The NBA has also lost my two sons. I watch an occasional hockey game when the Kings happen to be on.

But yeah. The NFL knows what it has. I wouldn’t look for prices to come down any time soon.

Summary

In total, you may need subscriptions to at least six streaming services and access to four major networks to ensure you can watch every NFL game throughout the season.

I've subscribed to NFL+ for years now because I can rarely make the time to watch games live. One of the true benefits for me is the condensed replays that eliminate all the commercials, halftime blather, and inane commentary between plays. NFL+ Premium is $99.99 a year and you can watch games going back five years in full or condensed format.

With an NFL+ subscription, you get access to:

  • Live out-of-market preseason games
  • Live local & primetime Regular Season and Postseason games on your phone or tablet
  • Live stream of NFL Network
  • Live game audio (home, away & national calls) for every game of the season
  • NFL library programming on-demand, ad-free
With an NFL+ Premium subscription, you get access to all of the content and features in NFL+, as well as:

  • Live stream of NFL RedZone
  • Full & condensed game replays
  • Coaches Film
