If you're a first round pick you have talent. He was pretty skinny coming out of college listed at 166. Depth chart has him at 180 now so he's getting bigger. At six foot tall he's got a little more room to bulk up. As long as it doesn't affect his agility and speed. I like the idea of claiming a guy like him. No risk.

Article underscores Quessenberry's versatility, plus he was a fan favorite and many had good things to say. Kudos to @Allen2McVay for watching the games against the Vikings in the regular and post season and giving us the skinny on Quessenberry. IMO, considering that both Arcuri & McClendon both struggled last year at LT and RT and the fact Quessenberry has experience playing both positions, hard not to see this as an upgrade. And being from San Diego plus a San Jose St., alum, David is back in the Golden State.

Thanks for that, OnceARam! A lot of us are going to have to learn to use AI sooner than later. It needs to be doublechecked, though. The same day, I asked AI for a list of DIY stores in town, and it listed a store that's been closed for four years, so it still makes lots of mistakes.

I also thought Holmes might have been a key guy, and even though he has made some nice picks with the Lions, I think Snead is better. I like how the Rams are using GPS tracking to measure true speed on the field in full gear, not dudes running in shorts on a track. I also like their emphasis on character and love of the game.

This is the norm in high school. There’s not enough good players on most teams to play only one side of the ball. Central Columbia is right up the road from me. They have similar enrollment as our school. Graduating classes are around 150 kids. Some teams we played didn’t have enough players for a JV team. Our entire roster was made up of two way players and we were one game away from the state championship.

We were 3A. One 5A school we played had guys only playing one side of the ball. They had 4 D1 college commits and we still beat them. At the end of the game the opposing coach came over to my son and said, “You wrecked our entire offensive game plan.” I’m going to miss those Friday nights.

Good tackles are still a premium position. There aren’t enough of them for teams to have great depth behind the starters. Noteboom is about what is considered good depth at tackle. A guy with experience who knows his responsibilities but can’t consistently perform them. I think a tackle going down would hurt the chances for a lot of good teams.

Maybe an injured tackle is more concerning because the Rams lack mobility at the QB position?

However, i’m still thankful that the Irsay family traded the Rams straight across for the Colts decades ago.

4.6 is not slow for a safety btw. It is probably average range for them. These guys aren't corners.

Now the safeties who go early can put up corner numbers in their workouts. But they are not corners for a reason. And many of them bust. It's not like athleticism, after all, is better than good instincts. A safety who can read the formation and is in the right spot most snaps will outplay a more athletic safety who doesn't have good instincts. This is because the two tenths of a second difference in speed in the 40 are easily beaten by a one or two second advantage in reaction speed.

All that aside I am not high on Kinchens. Still waiting to see with him. He improved as the year went on, however it feels like the Rams are better at finding box safeties than they are the ones who can drop and anticipate in the pass game. Many of the box types can be pretty good in man coverage, provided they're not matching up with a top draw. But the separator with them is the decision making when they're deep or over the top and must be decisive in space.

Curl is better near the LOS. So is Kinchens. McCullough showed some instincts but it was usually near the LOS. Lake is a big strong type too, built for the box. So I'd love to see Kinchens develop and am pulling for him but I see no reason to crown the kid yet. Let him earn it.

Davante Adams is surely still the game changer he's been. On a terrible Jets team he proved unstoppable when the team actually played like they gave a shit. Against Jax he had catches of 23, 24, 41 and 72 yards. That's not a game changer?
Had he played the whole year with the Jets at his per game basis, he would have been around 1,400 yards and 10-12 TD

Every year, potential NFL talent is released at cut down time. We have some really good scouts. I trust they'll find somebody to bolster our offensive tackle position. Probably one to develop and one with experience. I remember when we used to have so many holes in our team we looked like a Green Bay Packers cheese hat. Now we're only a little light at shut down corner and swing tackle. Excellent place to be.
