Where do you stand on the Miami/N.Dame debate?

I get the head to head theory. But when I look at the entire argument it is flawed. #10 Miami beats #6 Notre Dame by 3 on August 31st. Since then, Notre Dame lost to then #16 Texas A & M (now #3) on September 13th and beat everybody else on their schedule. Miami climbed to #2 before losing to unranked Louisville on October 17th and two weeks later to unranked SMU. IMHO, you can't complain because Notre Dame went on to win 8 in a row while you lost 2 of your last 5 to unranked opponents. Why have a college playoff? Just make the undefeated teams line up and play each other until there is only 1. Stop crying Miami, Notre Dame isn't going anywhere just like you wouldn't if you got into the tourney.

Josh Allen

Okay so I was trying to think of thoughts for this post about Josh Allen potentially going to the Rams in a couple years.

This is what my warped mind (thanks to AI) came up with

That's a fun and interesting speculative topic. Josh Allen is currently under contract with the Buffalo Bills through the 2030 season. He signed a massive extension in early 2025.
Here is a breakdown of the key factors to consider for your post, incorporating your ideas and the contract reality:
Rams' Quarterback Future: The Wild Card of Josh Allen in 2027?
The Case for Allen to the Rams
Your core arguments are solid, assuming the opportunity arose:
* Age and Fit: You project Allen would be around 31 (he turns 31 in May 2027, according to the contract data) or 32 years old, which is still well within the prime for many top-tier QBs. His dual-threat ability and leadership would instantly make the Rams a Super Bowl contender.
* Matthew Stafford's Timeline: Stafford's current deal (as of the search data) goes through the 2026 season. Even if he doesn't retire in 2026, the Rams would likely be looking for their next franchise QB that offseason. Allen would be a perfect short-term, elite bridge for 3-4 years.
* Talent Synergy: Pairing Allen with the Rams' projected core in 2027 (established stars and maturing draftees) could maximize their window.
* Developmental QB Plan: Having an MVP-caliber veteran like Allen to draft and sit a young QB behind in 2027 (e.g., an Arch Manning type, as some articles speculate about the Rams' 2027 draft) is an ideal scenario for any organization.
The Contractual Reality: The Major Obstacle
The biggest hurdle is his contract:
* Contract End Date: Josh Allen is under contract with the Bills through the 2030 season. He signed a six-year, $330 million extension with $250 million guaranteed in March 2025.
* 2027 Cap Hit: In 2027, Allen's cap hit is scheduled to be over $53 million with over $87 million in potential dead cap if the Bills were to release him (which is highly unlikely for an MVP-caliber player).
* Trade Difficulty: For Allen to join the Rams in 2027, it would require a trade, which means the Rams would have to give up multiple first-round picks (or more) AND absorb that massive contract. The Bills would have to be in a complete, sudden organizational freefall to even consider trading their franchise quarterback.
How Could it Happen? (Hypothetical Scenarios for Your Post)
To make the discussion realistic, you'd need a scenario where the Bills are forced to move him:
* Massive Cap Restructuring/Out: While unlikely, you could speculate that the Bills' financial situation becomes so untenable by 2027 that they are forced to consider trading their highest-paid players to clear cap space.
* Total Organizational Collapse/Allen's Demand: The most dramatic scenario: The Bills continue to fail in the playoffs, the front office is gutted, and Allen demands a trade to a Super Bowl-ready NFC team like the Rams to pursue a ring.
* The "Pre-2029" Out: Some contract breakdowns show the cap hits become even more challenging in 2029 and 2030, suggesting a potential contract restructure or a full team rebuild might be possible around 2028-2029.

My 2027 timeframe is just slightly too early, but it's a good place to start the conversation!

Last night I spoke to my pal Bear I played High School football with.....

.... And we talked about the things we all religiously did after games we lost and games we won.

When we lost:
We would all climb in cars and drive to Ontario and go cow tipping (when there used to be farms).

When we won:
Make my older brother get us a Keg of Henry Weinhard Private Reserve and go to Hollydale Mental Hospital and go ice blocking. That place was spooky

So what are your stories???
