let me start with a clean slate here folks

arrogant by definition means having confidence in ones own importance or ability

As I said above, I believe the Rams will wins Saturday also. Does that make me arrogant? yes.. but doesn't give me the right to call out another fanbase as being arrogant and say we are not

Respectfully, Rhody, you can believe the Rams will win without you being arrogant. Now, if you believe that the Rams will blow out Atlanta because they're not on our level, yes, I would say that's being arrogant.

Atlanta is a talented team. We're capable of beating them. They're capable of beating us. Unfortunately, based on PT's OP, it seems like 5 out of 6 Atlanta fans on those sites don't believe we stand much of a chance against them. JMO.

Arrogant - "having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities, haughty, conceited, self-important, egotistic, full of oneself." But I get your point RR.

Actually I'd be more confident if the Rams were playing in Atlanta and had Greg Zuerlein. That said, my observation on Jared Goff so far this season is that he's the real Matty Ice and will get the job done. The man has the eyes of an assassin.

The Atlanta Falcons play the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday Night
The birds travel to the west coast for a wildcard playoff game.

This is just your typical schedule update, and I don’t want to get too misty-eyed on how the Falcons fought back from that Super Bowl game to a 10-6 record and a playoff berth. Unlike the Carolina Panthers, Atlanta made it back.

And it feels so goooooooood.

The Atlanta Falcons still need to show improvement, but probably got their best path to the Super Bowl. And it starts in six days.

The Falcons were close to getting the New Orleans Saints, but luckily the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pulled out a last second win. I want no team three times in one season, even if it is a despised rival. Despite being supremely talented, the Rams are young at some key positions. Last time the Falcons played the Rams, they got their head coach fired. That probably won’t happen this time, but it’s a good reminder that Atlanta played this team. Admittedly, they were very, very, very poorly coached at the time.

If the Falcons can fend off the Rams, they get Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles. Foles isn’t young, but he most certainly hasn’t played great football for a long time. Those two wins could get the Falcons to the NFC Championship. The battle starts Saturday night on NBC.
-----------
Let’s see if the Rams are really up to snuff. This ain’t going to be Fantasy Football, you got to bring more than statistics, you got to bring your A-Game!
----------
When we get past the Rams, Eagles can definitely be had.
------------
We match up well against the Rams
and Foles has a terrible history against a pass rush.

We can go to the NFC championship, and most likely against the Vikings or Saints…
and we want revenge against the Vikings and the Saints.

This is a beatable group of NFC teams, and the Falcons might have drawn the best possible road forward
-----------
Go watch Minnesota vs Rams. Minny held them to 7 points on the road against them. We’re gonna need the same type of defensive performance to win.
----------
Hey! You may have the "secret" to our success next Saturday!
Shannahan was our OC last year. Shannahan is now the HC of the 49ers who just hung a 40 spot on the Rams! Pick up the phone and give him a call! He owes us for those 3 play calls that lost us the Super Bowl last year. He should be more than willing to make that up and help us out!
---------
Unfortunately, that was against the Rams' backups
No Gurley, no Goff, no Donald (among others).
---------
I hope the guys realize how close they are now, and really come together like they did in last year’s no playoffs. I feel like we’re the most dangerous team in the conference right now.
----------
This is what I got
NFC… 1a:Saints, 1b:Vikings, 3:Falcons, 4:Eagles, 5:Rams, 6:panthers

AFC… 1a: Patriots, 1b: Steelers, 1int: Jaguars, 4:Chiefs, 5:Titans, 6:Bills

We can beat the Rams, The Eagles with Foles are beatable but not a push over. Saints/Vikes will be hard to beat

I’m not putting to much faith in Sark to help us though
----------
WE GOT THIS.
This is by far the best path to the Super Bowl. If our offense shows up, we WILL beat the Rams — they don’t have much of a defense, and our defense is playing LIGHTS OUT right now! And then, we play the Wentz-less Eagles, and potentially a 1998 NFC Championship rematch with the Vikings — I really like our chances right now! RISE UP!!!!!
---------
Hi
My Name is Aaron Donald

Not sure if you’ve heard of me.

Sincerely,

Aaron Donald
----------
For the first time this season...
It felt as if our guys actually wanted to win. Still saw some of the same issues that have plagued us all year and losing Turbo is HUGE! Dropped passes and not being able to protect MR2 are reasons for concern, but it was promising as I realize we were going against a formidable front 7.

Historic run already this year for our birds! Making it to back-to-back Super Bowls is extremely tough, as is making the playoffs back-to-back in the NFCS. I will be front and center in Philly again if we can contain Gurley and take advantage of an overrated Rams defense! Rise up!!!
---------
The Falcons have the talent to beat anybody...
But it’s hard to get excited about their prospects when they have such an anemic offense. And despite others holding onto hope that they’ll "get hot", I think they are what they are at this point. They’re a supremely talented team whose performance doesn’t always live up to their talent.

I think the Rams game will be a tough one. They’re a well-coached team, and the playoffs has everything to do with good coaching. People keep referencing Goff and Gurley and the youth of the team and overlooking that their great coaching is what makes that whole thing go. I’m sure McVay will have some things up his sleeves we haven’t seen on tape.

Ultimately, it’s just hard seeing it right now coming off the past 5 offensive showings this team has put on tape. They don’t score points. They are barely stumbling their way to get to 20 pts, and I think vs the Rams, it’ll take between 25-30 points.

I’ll hope, but this is going to be a tough one imo.
---------
We are 10-0 this season when we score 20 or more points. Are you trying to tell me that we can’t/won’t score at least 20 points on the Rams defense? PLEASE!
---------
Come Saturday, all those reps Vs quailty DLines will need to be shown when you face arguably the best player in the NFL in Aaron Donald. He and Garland are going to need to have the best game of their life.
---------
Doing some post game "scouting"
Seems to me that the Ram’s have a difficult time stopping the run, they fumble a lot and they have a hard time stopping teams on 3rd down! This team is very beatable…..and our strengths play to there weaknesses!
--------
One game at a time folks
The Rams are up next and I actually kinda like this match up. A young inexperienced QB and HC. An offensive scheme our defense is very familiar with. We need to get healthy and with this defense being on a roll even if the offense isn’t, we can stay in games. Health is the key now. Any news on Clayborn? LeVitre obviously had a set back. Gabriel is so insignificant I don’t know if he’ll be missed.

I like Hardy because he can do more things. Gabriel can’t block and is only good for certain play calls. He’s fast but that’s about it and the league is loaded with guys just as fast but bigger than he. Health is my biggest concern now. Everybody here is playoff experienced pretty much. The saints and panthers will beat up on each other and the eagles aint the same without Wentz.
----------
Best shot at a Falcon win is to have another low scoring game. This year’s team is too plagued by penalties, dropped passes, errant passes and mental mistakes to win a shootout. That is what worries me about the Rams. They have an explosive O to get a lead, and Gurly to wear down a D to hold it.

My favorite part of this whole thing from Falcons fans is them talking so much smack about our defense. They gave up 315 points on the year we gave up 329. They gave up 318 yards a game we gave up 339 a game. We played our backups the entire week 17 to skew our numbers higher and these guys are running their mouths about our defense being bad? And we're the arrogant fan base?

Fact is we're two very similar teams. Hell our QB's main comp coming out of college was Matty freaking Ryan.

We have one great running back they have 2 good running backs.

They have one WR capable of great things but largely was mediocre this year, he had 3 touchdowns 2 of them in one game where he also had 18% of his total receiving yards. He had 4 100 yard games. Julio is capable of great things but is also very capable of being just another guy. We have some guys who can have big games but mostly just good receivers. Sanu is a great WR2 and Gabriel is capable. I don't know if I'd give either team an advantage in the WR matchup.

Hooper is a talented young WR who's more advanced than our guys.

Both teams have some quality play on their OLine. We both have a guy on the DLine capable of dominating. These are two very evenly matched teams. Anybody expecting an easy game one way or another is selling the opponent short. I think the Rams can win, not arrogance just confidence in our team and coaching.

Is this guy serious???

Here's how I see that going
Quinn:hey Shanny what's the secret to beating the Rams you did such a good job wk 17 and you owe us.

Shanny: well Dan you can beg em to play all their backups like they did against us(turns around and thinks omg poor thing it's retarded)

Wow...all I'm hearing on TV is that our @ss is about to be kicked by the Falcons. Our offense will be overmatched by a speedy Falcon defense, and our defense will be shredded by Ryan & Co......

Wait, we won more games didn't we? I think we even scored more points than almost anyone else? Must have been a mirage......

Have to chuckle at Falcon fans who cite “experience” as a factor in their favor, considering that their playoff experience is most prominently known for having the biggest choke/meltdown in SB history.

The Falcons are a balanced team. I just think we are better all around. I just hope Ficken rises to the occasion. He needs to source the powers of GZ.
