Let's all have some perspective.

Hatfield, the rookie, singled up on Thielen who's really coming into his own as a Vet was a GROSS mismatch. It's on Wade to put his players in position to succeed. I think they went to Thielen singled up on the outside 4-5 plays in a row. With no help.

That's just dumb.

Cowboys did the same thing against Atlanta when they didn't give their LOT any help and the Atlanta RDE got six freaking sacks.

I don't think we're just gonna never change and leave rookies/deep backups singled up on legit #1s and #2s. Pretty sure Wade's gonna adjust.

That said, like the other losses, this one hurts because even without mistakes, we were still in it.

I think the rest of this season will have its share of struggles and we're going to be awfully difficult next season.

That said, I'm just gonna focus on watching our improvement.

If I was told at the beginning of the season that we'd be 7-3 with our losses coming against good teams where even as we laid eggs, we weren't blown out... I'd have been very excited.

And I still am.

This loss hurts mostly because the dream of us really breaking out this year isn't likely to happen.

But I'm still just as excited about this team as I was yesterday.

Let's not forget Minnesota missed two FGs. Not as bad as the points we left off on the field with Kupp's fumble and dropped pass. But the self-inflicted wounds were not one-sided. I do think we lost to the better team today. Although it is frustrating because we could have won.

This ain’t no 99 team.

Actually in some respects they are. Mentioned this in another thread.

In 99 that team did not beat a,team with a winning record, then barely held on to beat the two top defenses they played in the playoffs.

After the SB Vermeil was quick to say that the Rams needed to get more Physical on offense.

This team has the same issue. They need to be able to play some smash mouth so they can slow down a pass rush or convert 3rd and short or at least make the opponent fear that they can run it down their throats.

Until they do that they will struggle with top defenses especially in a road environmemt.

Not ready for playoff type atmosphere...

I'm not going into who's never beat a good team....NEVER...

No Dallas isn't good....not sure about the Jags....couple good throws does nothing....and since I see game manager....sorta like KC...and Cinnci....we'll need more pieces...and more from the ones we have....like

We just need more from our offensive line in big games....some push...more push...

I think I'd like to draft a rb....sorta like Fish...just grab one that can push this man Gurley...not mad at him...but I think he needs competition...not Lance Dunbar...a dynamic type.

We need some serious linemen...offensive and defensive....I'm gonna give Whit a pass....Besides Saffold or Brockers....who do you want down there on the short yardage/goal line plays? AD....meh....he's a pass rusher....great player....But, how is it we allow 4.5 ypc? HOW?!?!

This obsession with throwing to Higbee and Kupp....I'd actually like to see it continue....and when someone FINALLY STOPS IT....I can't wait to see the reason why. Like, it took Tavon 3 fumbles....muffs....I wanna see when does McVay say something about Higbee? What makes him replace Kupp

No Tavon.....makes me think some here were calling the plays...NO TAVON...and 7 points...think about that......

Hatfield isn't a NFL CB...you can play corner...in 2017...at 4.8 forty speed....you can't...Blake Countess isn't a corner...probably can play safety....not sure he's a great tackler. Draft some corners Snead....and some linemen. Webster is a terrible pickup...He's not even a good corner. We better sign Tru to 2 year incentive laden deal

Where was my boy Barron on those runs? Vikes have a NICE O-Line.....and Case was.....Casin!

7 points....and we fumbled at the 2....
1. Not one touch for Tavon Austin. Yeah I know he's not a big part of the offense by design. But on TURF (fast track for guys with juke moves) you need to give him the jet sweep (or anything) at least 3 times this game. They didn't.
On turf, no reason he's not more involved than a few others.
Good blocker though.
Higbee IS NOT a GOOD blocker...only thing he must be good at is sucking up to Goff and getting targets.
Out coached today. We were on turf, so speed is extra useful... yet Tavon Austin is suddenly removed from the game plan? Idiotic and unacceptable. He brings immense value as a decoy too. Even if you don't want to give him the ball (which we should at least a couple of times per game), his presence on the field is important. I don't know what McVay was thinking.
I wanted to bring this up again...most shocking development of this whole game....why McVay isn't using this weapon....is beyond baffling.

If we don't have a serious pass rush...and those are games when AD just can't do it all....our other defenders appear average. Or even below...seem like we should be more athletic....

Defense wasn't great.
But Kupp doesn't fumble or drop that pass.
21 pts easily

And if they didn't miss two field goals, they would've won 30-21 in your scenario. Coulda woulda shoulda. One player doesn't cause a team to get beat 24-7.

The biggest problem with the play calling was just not enough plays run. Maybe McVay outsmarted himself by going away from the jet sweep. I trust the team and the coaches will learn from today.

It was apparent from the very beginning of the game that the crowd noise was a problem for the Goffense.

A balanced playcall would've helped on offense.

I struggle to blame McVay for the play calls because Goff appears to audible out of plays a lot. And uses up a crap ton of clock time doing it. The kid is good and getting better, but maybe he should listen to the veteran play called a touch more often.

The 12th man, officiating on important calls, no QB pressure, down 2 DB's, and giving up way too much pressure. The Vikings, at home, were a better team today. No doubt.

Come on man, for Kupp. Big drop, costly fumble.

I'm not sure who's making the calls. I just think having a balanced attack would benefit the offense. Gurley is a volume rusher, it would tire the D line, and it would make play action more effective. They probably ran close to the same amount of play action plays as runs.

The mistakes were incurred by a strong team in their house that brought it. Just like the mistakes we saw vs the Seahawks. I give the Vikes cred, the difference in this game is their defense made some huge stops when they needed to, starting with that turnover by Kupp that cost us 7. Our defense didn't, and at the end there unraveled.

It's all good dudes. Rams are a young team, still on the rise, and they're not done yet. Said before this game that this one wasn't the end of the world if we didn't win it. We have to win 2 of those four big matchups, we just lost the first one.

I look forward to everyone in the media talkin $#!T about the Rams and discounting them. It's a good dose of reality for them and I'm pretty sure they're going to bounce back and learn from it. This thing is far from over, lots of football to go.

McVay has done great with this team but he’s still a rookie. He too will get better.

First drive was a work of art. Then, very unsettled. Noise definitely messed with the audibles. Better figure it out before the next Shyte Chickens game.
