Kupp, Saffold, and Wade need better performances out of you.

Haha.
Wade performed terrible. Did you see Wade bite on the double move?

Just a terrible day for us. We lost multiple key players to injuries. I can only hope that they aren't serious, but it ain't looking good for Woods. This game illustrates to me, unfortunately, that we're not a Super Bowl contender this year. We're still a year away. I expect that we'll rebound and make the playoffs, but we're just not there yet.

I'm very disappointed in this team. It's a learning experience. They need to come out next week and rebound against the Saints.

Yes, this. Can we retire those things once and for all? And I will never, every miss the blueberries should they never wear them again.

According to D'Marco Farr, his arm was in pain. Hope it's not broken or anything.
It appear to look more like a broken collar bone injury to that side

On the radio broadcast, D'Marco said he was holding his arm and in pretty significant pain.

Either way, doesn't sound good.

Woods has won several games for us. But we do have the numbers in the WR cadre to possibly overcome some of the Woods loss.

On the flip side we are in big trouble @ CB.

Wondering if the Saints game is almost a must win. Not doing well in the tie breaker categories. Can't afford too many more conference losses.

He's definitely been our best WR. May be time for Sammy to step up and show us what he can do.
If he want to be a Ram in 2018 its way past time to step it up.

Another sad thing is the Saints will run all day on us. They just came back to smash the win from the Skins Saints are bonafide! They are 8-2 looking to roast some Lamb-chops very soon

Minn is a good team, well coached, tough D. First game of this season the Rams lost to a superior team. The other losses, to Seattle and Washington, both teams were not as good as the Rams. On to next week.

Refs didn't fumble on the 1 yard line, allow a 60 yard TD, allow two rushing TD's, or fail to get a sack.

The Rams underachieved as a unit today. That's all there is to it.
Without a doubt, we made some mistakes. Doesn't take away the fact that the refs pushed our shit in even further by giving them a td and many bad calls.

Out coached today. We were on turf, so speed is extra useful... yet Tavon Austin is suddenly removed from the game plan? Idiotic and unacceptable. He brings immense value as a decoy too. Even if you don't want to give him the ball (which we should at least a couple of times per game), his presence on the field is important. I don't know what McVay was thinking.

Once we had CB injuries we needed to either play a different system or, alternatively, move Joyner to CB. Phillips neutered any chance we had at a comeback by refusing to do this. Hattfield was no match for Thielen, one of the better WRs in the NFL, and it cost us dearly. It was a free first down every pass. You can't win like that.

If Kupp doesn't fumble near the end zone AND drop a big play pass to move the chains when the game was still close, this game might have had a different result. Do not underestimate the importance of momentum in sports. He also dropped a game-winning TD pass against Seattle. I'm not read to cut his snaps yet, but Reynolds has looked promising in his limited action, Mike Thomas is back, Cooper is a capable WR, and Austin if schemed open could be a huge threat. Errors happen. Especially for a rookie. But Kupp's always seem to be catastrophic. That needs to change or his spot could be in trouble.

Minnesota has an excellent defence. Particularly in the trenches. I won't be too harsh on the o-line for the pressures they gave up. Goff handled it well. The QB pressures were not favorable but I tip my hat to Minny more than I blame our guys.

Conversely, pass rush is a huge need. Credit Minnesota for building their o-line. They simply aren't giving up sacks. But we still didn't get enough pressure. Other than Donald and Brockers, it seems like our entire defensive line is mediocre at best. That's not good enough to be a playoff contender when you secondary is also middling.

The injuries are a big concern. Woods has emerged as a big piece of this offense. He would be a huge loss, although we might be able to succeed without him. Watkins has more to give than we have seen. And we have depth there as mentioned above re: Kupp. If we are without CBs for long, however, I fear we are sunk.

Here's what I noticed.

When McVay runs out of the jet sweep formation, Gurley does much better.

Moreover, the play action is more effective especially on those mid-range passes.

Doesn't matter if we run/pass out of that formation on half of our plays. If it works, it works.

The Vikes got out D to have to anchor and going sideways.

That's what we shoulda been doing...

Oh well. 7-3.

Saints win. They're stomping a frustrated Washington team right now. Down 15, they stormed back and won in OT.

I think we're def behind the Eagles, Vikes and Saints.

Our improvement, though, has me still encouraged.

And I'll say it now... EVEN IF WE LOSE NEXT WEEK, all is not lost with a young team.

Remember, it's about how a team gets to the playoffs. People wondered if we'd be a one and done team in '99 because we finished 3-3.

If we struggle playing 5 playoff teams in 6 weeks, I kinda figure we've still made amazing progress and have hope for the future.

Yes, Wade was uncharacteristically dogmatic in calling his D today and that cost us as much as anything.

Lets not forget terrible tackling. We had SEVERAL opportunities to sack Keenum, and tackle other receivers but they slipped through our D's grasp like butter.

That's gonna be tough because the Saints are looking like juggernauts right now.

I honestly think we could get blown out by them before finding our footing (and hopefully figuring out our injury situation)...

As we reached the 3rd quarter, the defense looked like it hadn’t been tested the last 3 weeks. Players looked gassed.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s good to lose some games, to help expand our strategies.

It is, especially for a young team. We're gonna do great things as we grow as a team, and the most difficult tests are the ones that teach us the most.

Absolutely nothing positive about this loss. Nothing. No way to spin it. If Rams make the playoffs this game was devistating to seeding. I hate losing so much more than enjoy winning. So sick of this feeling. Sucks, sucks, sucks!!!
