I suspect we’re going to see Tree, Baron, Joyner, and a couple on O needing surgery. They gave it their best.

Tree seemed to just be taking up space tonight. Clearly not 100%

Just think....the D was this good over the course of the year, if Wade gets his guys then next year will be better.

Inexperience lost us this game I think. Notably Cooper's turnovers. The loss wasn't all his fault. Those saying it was are looking for an easy way out. But he gave them 10 points. Against playoff caliber opponents, that is nearly fatal.

The Brockers injury hurt.

The biggest gripe for me is the coaching. McVay got too pass happy again. He also abandoned Tavon Austin again. Austin opens things up for Gurley as a decoy. Sure, he's over priced for that role. His days as a Ram are probably numbered as a result. But as long as he is on the roster, you have to utilize him as a decoy to your advantage. McVay committed both of these errors vs. Minnesota too. It is worrying to me that he does not seem to learn from his mistakes. Could be a big problem going forward. He's a good coach, but in the back of my mind I am starting to harbour doubts.

After this game, I'm of the opinion that Watkins should not be paid for potential. He didn't play like a big time player tonight in the big moments. A big-time player catches that perfectly-thrown bomb, and a big-time player catches that TD.
No targets until the 4th quarter. That's as inexcusable as the missed TD

Proud of the regular season, but not proud of that playoff performance. The regular season Rams did not show up tonight. Turnovers committed but none created. Key passes poorly thrown and key passes dropped. Missed tackles, missed blocks, and some very suspect play calling by the usually sharp McVay. The question is now does the team improve or regress next year. Hopefully they improve and an immediate improvement would be to start fining Ogletree every time he fails to wrap up and allows a runner more yards as a result!

Not one play. He didn't even get his hands on the long throw that was right there for him to catch either. In crunch time.

I was for signing him as lately as earlier this week. But now? Man. Not sure he's a fit. We'll see what McVay does.

That's the one I'm talking about. The defender grabbed him before the ball got there.

He has got to be smart enough to go up and draw that penalty. Flipper Anderson was great at drawing those by jumping back into the trailing DB.

The ball was out in front of him. Jumping back doesn't makes sense to me. The refs let the grab go.

Im goi g to rewatch the game inna few days but we just flat out got beat. Goff was missed alot of passes early. Olgetree has been missing those same tackles since he was in college, Watkins hasn't play big since being a ram, Woods is a better wr for US than he is. Cooper had the most jitters on the team, our run D has been suspect ALL year. And all year ive wondered why teams just dont run the ball on us no matter how far they are behind... He have backers that cant fill holes and no 3-4 nose tackle. Or maybe od we had an hog on the middle oy would free up the backers. And did my once favorite ram even touch the field (tavon Austin)?

Not proud of that performance that's for sure. Great year overall but the regular season means nothing compared to the postseason. I would have rather won 8 or 9 games and won our first postseason game instead of laying an egg like today. Just flat out disappointing.
Really. Then you would have complained about something that kept us out of the playoffs.

That's wrong. We targeted Watkins once in the first quarter and once in the second quarter.

I think the special teams turnovers, although early, really messed it up. I know just watching it gave me that oh no feeling. 13 points. Yuk! Isn't that a season low???

Life sucks right now!!!

Dude what are you talking about? I said I'm not happy with that performance, are you? The year was obviously a success with us winning the division. I'm pleased with where the team is going but to have the year we did and then completely flop tonight was terrible. We are a much better team then what we showed. Cooper fumbled twice I mean we lost the turnover battle and gave the game away. Our special teams was dominated by theirs. Our offense for the entire first quarter did nothing. In the biggest game of their life you want to see some guys step up and make plays. Every contested catch it seemed like we dropped and they made the play. Outside of Woods their DBs manhandled our WRs tonight. With a full week of to prepare, we did not come out and play great but still lose. We gave the game away which shows our youth and immaturity as a football team, that's the most frustrating part.

Cooper directly cost the Rams 10 points and gave the Falcons 2 drives that should have been ours. Easily could have been a more than 10 point swing.
McVay did not run Gurly right behind out great left side of the O line. That punt early on set a tone. How many drives did it take for both teams to finally get a first down ? Run the man, best in football.
Then the defense has some indecision, advantage us.
Sick of plays where the RB gets the hand off out of the shorgun. Hard to get a head of steam, it sucks.

Wonder if that game off last week made the offense rusty.

It seems that teams that wrap up early a lot of times struggle in the playoffs.

Told yall, Cooper has a lot of Tavon in his return game...just seems shaky to me on returns....to reckless, when sure hands are the only thing really required.

Just walked through the door right now. Rams just didn't fire on all cylinders. Picked a hell of a time to make some mistakes. The playoff experience, as a fan, was off the hook. Rams fans were crazy and that's all I can ask.
The roar of the crowd when Kupp caught that TD, it was the loudest I have ever heard a crowd and that's saying something. Going to watch the game now and see some replays.

For the first time in YEARS, my now adult kids sat with me and CHEERED LOUDLY for my Rams even though they don't really know football.

My son feels terrible because every time he's watched a game with me, the Rams lost. He doesn't understand that watching the Rams under Spags and Fisher and seeing the Rams lose doesn't make one unlucky. It made one a viewer... *rimshot*.

Anyway, I called the final score with about 7 mins left and my kids were the ones saying we were in it til the end.

By the time the game was over, maybe a good 5 minutes after, I was over it.

I'm overwhelmed by the fun I had with this team during the season and the only way I would need to vent would be if the team quit.

I've just spent the entire season being thankful, watching this team win and lose some tough games and dropping an epic beatdown of the Seahawks in Seattle!

Season didn't end the way any of us wanted, but now that I know what we got, I'm thrilled.

Hmmm...not commenting to anyone in particular...just scrolling down the pages, one after the other...

Big time receivers need the ball thrown their way early and often...to become engaged in a game...it makes no sense to not throw them some in the 1st quarter..hell, first drive...so the opponent at least has to worry about them...I keep saying that was a reason Quick would look so..uncomfortable later in games when a single pass or two would just happen to go towards him....

I also believe a young team needs to try to win every game....in every week....continuity...chemistry...plus closing hot...Falcons closed hot....we sputtered down the stretch....I guarantee we would have played a better 1st quarter...which could have been the momentum the team needed today.

McVay needs to realize these 2 facts....Woods in nice...Kupp is decent....Watkins is a potential super star....so is Gurley....they are the only 2 on our offense.
