Yeah, I cant see how "if he was a free agent, I'd rather have him then the #1 overall pick" isnt at least worth an offer of a 4th rounder, just to "kick the tires"
"The Buzz" has a funny way of going about things I guess

If the Rams made Bradford available, I bet we'd get more than a 4th.

I think both Tennessee and Washington would prefer him to the two QBs at the top of the draft. All three of the QBs are risky in their own way(Bradford, Winston, and Mariota).

I see no scenario on Earth where Bradford would net a 4th rd pick or higher right now. Two years ago, before the first ACL? Sure. Not at this point.

The unknown factor with Winston/Mariota is simply if they can be franchise QB's. The unknown with Bradford is if he can be a franchise QB AND stay healthy.

Before the first ACL, Bradford would have netted much more than a 4th round pick. I think people underestimate the demand for QBs.

Regardless, it doesn't make much sense to trade Bradford now...you're selling low. Unless we grab Winston.

Right. Before the injuries i agree. Today he might net a 7th and a ping pong table.
I think people overestimate the value of a QB who hasn't played in 2 years, and did very little to establish himself in the three years prior to that.

Personally i think he can play, but in terms of value it isn't there anymore.

Not even close.

I think you're forgetting about some of the QB trades of the recent past...Charlie Whitehurst, Kevin Kolb, Alex Smith, Matt Schaub, Carson Palmer, etc.

Teams will pay a premium for a QB. Truth is, your alternatives in the 2nd to 3rd rounds are Bryce Petty, Brett Hundley, and Garrett Grayson...and that's why Bradford would be worth something if we put him on the market.

But I don't see us making him available for trade.

I remember that none of those guys were damaged goods or had serious question marks in terms of being able to play a full season.

If you traded a 4th rd pick for Bradford tomorrow and he goes down in week 3 you deserve to be fired as GM.

Nah. I don't think anyone would blink at that kind of risk being taken by a GM. That is a huge upside potential for what is likely just a depth pick in the draft.

Target Erek Flowers, Donovan Smith, Terry Poole, Laken Tomlinson, Ali Marpet, Robert Myers, & Jeremiah Poutasi. Protect Sam at all costs...Open holes...Sit back and watch the wins pile up...
Anybody can love a rookie..thats what fans do, but I'd be a lil scared with any player at QB besides Bradford....

Just remember that we as Rams fans naturally put a higher value on Sam Bradford then the rest of the league likely does. We like Sam. We've seen first hand what he's had to work with. We've seen the positive things he's done throughout his injury riddled, undistinguished career.

Who wouldn't prefer Bradford over those two?

As for Bradford not being worth anything or establishing anything that's just ESPN type talk. If you are a GM and you don't understand the level of franchise this guy played for, you're not much of a GM. The injury history is there true, but you sign him to a deal full of incentives rather than large base salary. To me, the fact that the guy was able to even have decent stats on those historically awful teams shows talent, and you won't get any complaints about his leadership or work ethic out of the coaching staff or veteran players. Despite what's said on the internet or talk shows. As for what his trade value is, probably irrelevant. He's either cut or retained. However, if I was a GM I'd give up a 4th for him, provided he agrees to a incentive based deal on arrival. If he stayed healthy, you've got a great QB.

Sometimes though we think that and mentally shift perceived value downward to try and compensate for this.

Me personally, I could see a GM offering a 4th or even a 3rd for Bradford. It's not a huge risk and you could potentially get a great return on your investment. 2nd or 1st most likely not.

Those not in the media likely know more than we do about Bradford's value. A 4th rounder is really nothing to them in the form of a gamble over a potential starting QB with his tools. The risk is the injury - not his ability to play in this league as it is with virtually every rookie QB in the draft.

Oh well. If I'm Tennessee or Washington, I take that risk. Because if you trade a 4th round pick for Bradford and he stays healthy, you have yourself a starting QB for next to nothing.

Alex Smith did.

If I was a GM, I would prefer Bradford as well.

The talent is all there. I really think he could easily be in the same category as Flacco, Stafford, A.Smith.

He will never be Stafford, he doesn't have the sack for it.

Yes, but you have to be a little scared with him at QB too don't you? You can protect him, and he does deserve better protection, but the knee injury this offseason is a concern because it shouldn't have happened so easily.

And of course a little depends on the new OC I think. If Bradford is back under center he will have to limit exposure for several games while Bradford's mental game bounces back. We hear athletes say all the time even after the physical part is 100% it takes time to regain all of the confidence.

You completely missed the point of my post. The round of the pick is irrelevant
