Rams Announce White Primary Home Uniforms

Me too. Mainly because you wear them away, too. There was a season we did NOT wear our navy blue jerseys ONE time. And those are some of the best lookimg in the league. Our white jerseys are BOOOORING.

We were the first. Schramm's reasoning was he wanted the fans to see a different color Jersey coming in every game as opposed to our navy blues vs a white jersey every time.

Do you know if that is 100% true? I have read what you posted but also have read that Eagle and Skin fans think its because Dallas thought the blues were cursed. Wasnt there a year in the 80's or something in which Dallas and Philadelphia played and the Eagles wore their whites to force Dallas to wear the blues?

I always thought they just wanted to be flashy. As a kid I remember the 70's and them being "America's team" and thought the whites were to be flashy, like Billy "White shoes" Johnson. I am going way off track here lol.

Agreed. This is my favorite current uniform option. I HATED the gold pants, and hate the 'old' blue home jerseys with the gold. Have never liked them. I love the old school royal blue / yellow, and love these white on whites. The white jerseys even look good with the blue pants. But God ... please no more gold pants.

I never minded them. When I was playing football, our colors were maroon and white. Usually maroon jersey for home and white pants. I loved when we'd go all maroon for some reason.

Not sure if they did anything different or not , but for some reason , the horns don't look as goofy this year

I think it's SO COOL to be a White-at-Home Team. It allows Home fans to see opposing teams colors. Rather than going to 8 games and seeing opponent in White every time. It also adds "mystique" to your colored jersey since its seen so rarely. BTW, our Rams hold the all-time NFL record for wearing the White Jersey Home AND Away in 48 CONSECUTIVE GAMES!!!! From 1967-1971 which included 3 ENTIRE Seasons 68-70. A record that will never be broken. Now THAAAATS Cool.

What game vs what team are they wearing their color rush jersey's for?

We’ll if the NFL sticks with the Thursday Night games being the Color Rush game it looks like the RAMS got two shots at a Color Rush game. The first game is scheduled as a Thursday Night game broadcast even though its being played in London on a Sunday (Week 7 October 23rd NFL Network) vs. the Giants, go figure . The second is a Thursday Night game @ Seattle (Week 15 December 15th NBC). I think the Seattle game will be the Color Rush game. The uniform colors are still up in the air but there was a leak back in April.

IRVINE, Calif. -- This homecoming business for the Los Angeles Rams comes equipped with all types of nostalgia. One area that has been of interest for long-time Los Angeles Rams fans is what uniform the players would wear.

The Rams are going back an old design, albeit probably not the one for which most locals remember them.

When the Rams host the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday in the first preseason game at the Coliseum in 36 years, they will return to the uniforms they largely wore in the 1960s -- white uniforms with blue numerals and blue slash on the shoulder, with a blue and white helmet.

"In the days of the Fearsome Foursome, the Rams used to wear white on white -- so this is a modern nod back to our history in the Coliseum and in Los Angeles," the Rams said in a news release.

The Rams said they will wear a throwback royal blue-based uniform for two games. Those games will be announced at a later date.

Most Los Angeles fans of the Rams probably best remember them for the blue and yellow home jerseys they wore in the late '80s and until they moved to St. Louis in 1995.

The Rams could have yet have another uniform change when they open their new $2.6 billion stadium and complex in Inglewood, California, in 2019.

Always loved white and white with blue accents old style so this works.

For some strange reason I liked these last year.

I don't really like the yellow? on the blue but the yellow monochromatic yellow jersey, pants, socks looks good with blue trim.

I liked those too. I had no problem with them. They looked better than some other "color rush" for other teams

I will say this though, it's going to be weird seeing the Rams wear white nearly every week. Home and away games with white jerseys. Unless for some reason we wear our blue jerseys on the road but I don't see that happening.

That will only happen of the home team chooses to wear their white jerseys.

a while ago I thought I read something about Dallas choosing whites because of B&W television...could be wrong tho, was once before
