I cannot believe the Saints are whining about "integrity of the game" or a "non call". BTW, heard a thought on the radio about you can review "bad calls" but how would you review a non call? Would it offset because AD got a hands to the face on the same play?

But Saints and their fans should shut their pie holes about integrity when they are the ones caught for BOUNTYGATE where they were going to pay their players to injure others. Asshole Face knew about it. He should be banned from the NFL.

Saints fans want to talk about integrity? Bring it on.

The fans who won a superbowl on the backs of a "kill the head and the body dies" philosophy whining about integrity is amazing.

The fans of the team who got every call all year until this one are still crying about it. That is rich.

This is really comical. Assuming a pently can be challenged and using this play as an example:

1. Payton challenges PI.

2. After Payton wins challenge, McVay throws flag for a second challenge to the same play for the hands to the face.

This would be ridiculous. Imagine if that same play caused a turnover. Then you'd have 3 reviews; one auto review for the turnover, then the two penalty challenges. It would take 10 minutes to evaluate the whole play.

Speaking of integrity. Sure looks like the Saints player intentionally stomped on Goff's arm to me.

You guys want pure comedy? Go to the Saintsreport forum.

They are saying the face mask on Goff was minor because the refs were "letting them play" and was correct to not call it. But the non call on NRK was a "major" penalty, NRK should be fined for hitting a defenseless player, etc.

Just had WFAN on and Francesa had the STs coach Westoff on. He’s driving back to Florida and had to listen to him whine about the non call for 15 min and how it ruined “legacies”. Of course Francesa didn’t tell him that they still had ample opportunities to still win the game. Getting tired of all this crap already.

Tuned in a radio station on my way to work and the person on says Rams should feel illegitimate for representing NFC and thinks Pats will blow them out.

The Rams haven't been blown out since I don't know when.

Not in the last two years maybe.

This team is too well coached and way to disciplined to let another team dismantle them in a blow out.

It's why Bill Russell was a greater great than Jordan. Well, and also there was that whole 90s NBA fixed refereeing thing...

Am I going to have to kick your ass on the Bill Russell thing AGAIN?

And it was one ref remember.

I actually like this narrative, it's gonna piss off the locker room and have them angry Superbowl Sunday.

And mine too. Is there something unclear about how great he was?

Greatest defensive basketball player of all time, won eleven NBA championships, 2 NCAA titles and the Olympics, also a world class high jumper, all in a time of really nasty racism. Could put dimes on the top of the backboard and look down at the basket from a couple of feet above. Having him on your side was like having Sandy Koufax or Bob Gibson start every game for your baseball team.

Wish I could have spoken on Robey Coleman's behalf in postgame presser!

Media: What happened on that 3 & long play inside the redzone, with just under 2 minutes left, in a tied Championship Game on the road?

Me: " Well...I couldn't fucking believe those arrogant assholes were risking another incompletion that would stop the clock, again". "Those officials were definitely letting us play, all game...Shit, I saw at least a half dozen obvious calls just not go our way, at critical moments in the game. But, unfortunately we were already quite familiar with Vinovichs' crew."

Media: *Back to the play in question*

Me: "We could actually make verbal adjustments on the fly. Obviously, the thousands of fans who walked into the Superdome with whistles, kept them hidden while Saints were on offense"
"Once the ball was snapped and I realized Payton was really that cocky, I went on search and destroy mission for my assignment TommyLee Nobody, whom I blew up, in what I thought was a bang-bang play."

"The remainder of the game is somewhat of a blur to be honest. I remember Asshole Face losing all composure and Brees throwing up another jump ball, which was JJ's side of the back secondary, thank the lord". "Bring on the next bitches!"

Brees' false start, which was called on the Rams.

Here is the rule: Item 6:

Attempt to Draw Offside. Any obvious attempt by the quarterback or other player in position to receive the snap to draw an opponent offside is a False Start.

If this refts got this call correct, and Brees was called for false start, then Saints would have faced 4th and 7 and kicked a field goal. This gave them 4 points.

If the face mask on Goff was called, Rams would have made 4 more points. These 2 calls cost the Rams 8 points.

Eventually (soon, probably), somebody is gonna unpack this whole game and itemize every single penalty both teams committed that went uncalled. I'd do it, but I really just don't give a shit anymore. The bottom line - and not enough ppl in the sports media are actually saying it - is that you can't just pick one foul and say it cost the game. Because in reality, any foul from the 1st quarter on could:

a) impact the final score via possession change or another chance to score
b) change the course of play throughout the game (situational playcalling)

It's just DISINGENUOUS to say that the last uncalled foul was the only foul that counts.
Is it the 19th burrito you ate in a row that made you sick, or should you have not eaten 18 before it?

At the end of the day, the main group of people that are speaking out about this are people who were rooting for the Saints, and then the media because obviously the drama is great for them. I've been hoping the NFL would reach out and check ESPN and the NFLN and tell them to either talk about all the missed calls, or STFU about it.

It literally blows my mind how many non Saints fans are upset by this - given that we could all sue the NFL until the game had to restart, at which point the NFL would say that the Saints being up 3 with 1 min 40 seconds left is better for them than starting the game over, and they lost.

Not me. It's manufactured outrage, and that's what life is about now in the social media age. Everyone HAS to pick a side and fight to the death over it. I'm just glad I'm older now and have access to good weed. It's the sweet spot of life coupled with a magic elixir.

I mean, who wants to be this guy, really?

They are still whining about this lol. I personally like seeing them like this after that arrogance they showed leading up to the game.

Fuck Sean Peyton
