Make no mistake, this is a huge game in terms of playoffs. The Saints are immediately behind the Rams in the standings. Win the next two and it takes a lot of pressure off that final game with the Niners. The next two games are very winnable but most of all the Rams control their own destiny. Win out and they are in. Once they are in the Rams will be a tough out for anyone they face.

Whether it means anything... the last 4 games:
Rams averaged 34.5 points/game (Az, CLE, WAS, BAL)
NO averaged 37.5 points/game (NTG, Car, ATL, Det)

If we can't beat the Saints, we don't belong in the playoffs. Period.
I'm not on-board with that way of thinking. The best teams have bad losses.
Dallas lost to the Cardinals, Philadelphia lost to the Jets, Detroit lost at home to the Bears

There are no Gimmies in the NFL.

Haven't really kept up with them this season but seem to feel like I've heard their defense is still pretty good but Carr is only as good and seems to be worse than what he was in Vegas.

He's a rattle-able QB.

Our weakness seems to be opponents' WRs running free for deep balls. (It doesn't help our edges don't provide much pass rush when needed.) If Rah and Pleasant can get that worked out we could go deep in the playoffs. But I feel like the Saints will have Carr trying to exploit it.

Doesn't matter if the Saints are any good if the Rams don't play well.

You remember how Arizona trounced the Cowboys...or how the Browns beats SF?

To coin a phrase..."THIS IS THE NFL" !!!

If there was ever a trap game, it was yesterday vs Washington. Rams had a nice wake up call, instead of being up 31-7, they were looking down the barrel of being up only 28-21 with 5 minutes left. They turned the jets back on and that was all she wrote

They have the same record as we do, so they're decent enough. This is a team we have to beat if we're going to make the playoffs.

But why? If you are in control of your own destiny, which we are at this point, you win and you are in. If you don't, you aren't.

Our guys are much more young than stupid. It's a must win and they know that because every game is must win until the NFL tells us "you've qualified". When you're .500 and it's taken 8 games just to get there...again....there are no trap games (okay, maybe Carolina but they're not on our schedule). They know what's in front of them and they know they made Sunday's game closer than it should have been. They know they need 100% focus and 100% effort against ANY NFL team. As McVay always says, "be your best when your best is required". It's required.

If the Rams had played the same schedule the Saints have they’d be at worst 10 and 4. That has got be be the weakest schedule in the league.
