Never cared for him , but after seeing him on the field I’m a big fan. High football IQ and loves the game. I just hope he loves LA enough to stick around.

Kismet, The timing seems perfect, A team in need and a very talented player running out of credit from past accomplishments.
The Rams and OBJ seem to be a match that can, will and are paying equal dividends to all.
You cannot deny his ability as a player

OBJ would have been even better if Woods hadn't gone down. Can you imagine teams trying to cover OBJ as the 3rd receiver? And Van Jefferson as the 4th?

Couple things to add. I believe OBJ has been dealing with a hip injury the last few weeks. Tonight at Cardinals seems like maybe he's getting over that injury and his play was really nice tonight overall.

Also, Jalen Ramsey helped get OBJ signed on the Rams. I think that's good for two reasons. 1) May help OBJ to want to sign and stay with Rams after the season. 2) Ramsey may help keep OBJ on the straight and narrow, since Ramsey has been cool customer since leaving the Jags.

I miss DeShawn Jackson and was hoping he had some success with the Rams, but definitely happy to have, and hopefully keep, OBJ a Ram!
When he caught that drag route he just seemed to kick into high gear and no one was making up any ground, I was like, “I think he’s got a little bit left.”
Stafford has to be gaining trust in him, he’s clutch in big moments, I love Van but he makes me nervous sometimes.

He will be resigned 100%. Dont think people understand how complicated our offense is, how much our WRs are asked to do in this offense, and how incredibly difficult it is to change teams mid season, pick up a new offense and be effective. He's been incredibly effective these last few games.

The real question is...after he resigns do we trade Woods? Do we want to invest that much $ at WR? Van Jeff has proven he deserves a starting role and is on his rookie contract still.

I know Bobby Trees is a great leader and teammate, but lets take the intangibles out for a second. Lets also keep in mind Odell is still learning a new offense after being thrown into the fire, and had zero chemistry with a brand new QB. So looking at their games, what does Woods do better than Odell??

-Block?? Okay yes. Woody has the edge.

-Run after the catch?? Maybe slightly Woods, but OBJ is very good at YAC. But for arguments sake lets give the edge to Woody.

-Route Running?? I'd say this is completely even, maybe an edge to OBJ. OBJ has a bigger route tree, and gets more separation.

-Hands?? OBJ has to have this edge Rob's hands are excellent, but OBJ's are next level elite. Arguably the best in the NFL for years.

-Deep Threat?? OBJ hands down. Woody can be effective down the field but not his game.

-Red Zone?? To me this isn't even close. OBJ is a consistent 1-on-1 nightmare. Slants and fades if hes not doubled are unstoppable in the red zone.

-Overall game speed/acceleration?? OBJ is quicker, faster and more explosive.

-Football IQ?? I would say Rob because I've seen him for years, but seeing how fast OBJ has learned this offense is so damn impressive. His ability to get forward progress today and keep the clock moving late was a prime example.

I was wondering myself. I just looked up to see how much it would cost us to move on from Woods. $12 Million in dead cap for 2022. I would say that is a no-go. But hey, we've wasted more cheese before on Goff / Gurley / Cooks... :D

Can’t believe guys want to dump Woods, he does everything for this team and does it well. Catches, runs, blocks, gets other guys open, and does it all at a high level with a smile on his face.

I don’t think anyone wants to dump him, I certainly don’t. Some of these business decisions are tough. How well is he going to recover from the surgery? When will he be available and fully healthy? Most likely will miss half of next season and not be back to full speed until 2023.

Resign him obviously. Enough said. Coming into arguably the most complicated offense in the NFL, mid season, all with a new QB, and making a huge impact. Dude is still a difference maker.

Yeah I think he's basically our WR3 right now. Because you can't trust him in a key moment as much as we can trust Odell. Just in terms of his ability as a receiver Odell is automatic if that ball is near him.

But I'm also really happy with how Jefferson is coming on. If we can avoid further injuries to these guys we're 3 deep with good quality and have a nice big target as WR4 in Sko who can block well and make an occasional play too. It's a real testament to our depth that we can lose Woody and still maybe be in good shape for the playoffs this year.

That has not been the case in previous years when we lost Kupp.

didn't like the obj trade/move when it happened...

was relieved when woody went down, knowing we had a possible next man up in obj...

after seeing what obj brings... the rams have no chance to sign him long term...

and every time i roll this take.. the opposite happens...

go rams

I bet Beckham has not even hit 100% play speed in this offense yet.

His talent is obvious and a good bet to shine down the stretch.

Well him being on the Covid list stinks.

Yeah - he said he doesn’t know the play book all that well still.Cooper Kupp was trying to cover for him,but Van Jefferson isn’t as smart as I thought.Robert Woods & Kupp would have had that. Now that sort of makes me mad of The Greatness The Rams WR core would have shown with Tobert.

All said, 3 games 3 TD’s. Someone from talk radio on Saturday broke down OBj’ s career season stats
which make The Rams are in better shape.

Funny Mcvay said he was going to wring Obj’s neck, but then saw he went backwards to stop the clock which shows his great football IQ & instincts.

Just think how much talent this team has.The pipeline & coaching makes it great. Ben Sko getting the playing time he is under such Great Mentoring? This is all about Mcvay’s vision &’his Pyramid Scheme.Dudenis selling an excellent product & Ram Fans the benefits.

Incredibly frustrating. Every team has injuries. But still.
The problem I had with signing him, was that we had just released DJ because he was whining about wanting to be traded due to lack of opportunity, and it seemed that we were signing someone else's problem child, resulting in maybe the same outcome. Woods was still healthy as far as the fans knew and it seemed like a superfluous roster addition without much upside. Later that day we found out about Bobby Trees. The signing of OBJ turned out to be a great move and he seems to be working out well!

Which is why, as a UFA, he will garner top dollar.
Not only is he showing the league that he's physically back, his maturity and adaptability will make signing that check a much lower risk prop
There's literally no way they can re-sign him

I saw after the Green Bay game how Lefluer gave him a hug.

Aaron Rogers is upset they didn’t sign him. He was almost a Packer.

Thank you Jalen RAMsey & of course get better soon Robert Woods. That would have been some WR group.

Ben Sko though is getting such valuable playing time Jacob Harris will be back as well.Gosh Les Snead & Company have done such an awesome job.

I watched the pregame against the Niners & Les had his elbow on the table all relaxed & in Awe of his own self.Ralk about a cocky look. He was actually out of his Garage. Lmao.

I Love LA!! Who Loves it Huey Lewis ?

He's wanted to play in LA for 4 years now and the feeling has always been mutual. His girlfriend lives in LA. He's a superstar personality who will get endless business opportunities out here. Plus the connection he's already showing with Stafford and the McVay offense. The Rams will be in a very good spot to resign him if they want and I bet they'd get a discount.
