I think that's an oversimplification bwd. What matters is that series in question that through chance becomes the critical moment in which the game's result is decided. You can QB a team back, through a great effort, but if you don't win it's still not a signature type win that the greatest have.

You can go back and nuke Montana's greatest moments and realize it wasn't all him. Or any other great QB. But what they do have, right or wrong, are those signature wins in huge moments. Jared Goff ain't there yet, and it's not such a bad thing to say when we all know it's coming really soon. Hopefully in this year's playoffs in fact.

I think people misread my reply. I was agreeing that people that are saying negative things about Goff after putting up 35 are nuts. The issue is defense, not offense.

Aren't there enough posts here pissing and moaning about how bad the defense played? Just once it'd be nice to celebrate some successes without being hounded by the negative Nancy crowd. We already have turned the GDT into a toxic environment that most members refuse to partake in. Now we can probably count 10 threads on the 1st page that are all full of negativity.

Here's a thought for you, just because some of us want to celebrate what the QB who less than 2 years ago was written off as a bust by some Rams fans, opposing fans and media doesn't mean we're burying our heads in the sand to what's going on with the other side of the ball. We know, we just want to celebrate that our 24 year old QB in successive weeks went toe to toe with hall of fame QB's on good teams. And he came out looking pretty damned good. So sorry if I'm not negative enough for you, there are however plenty of threads on this board that might fit the mood better for you.

You read my reply wrong old school. Wasn't complaining, at all. Quite the opposite. I was saying the issue is defense, not offense. I'm very happy with Goff. So please, chill bro

I don't think it's negative to observe that he can improve in critical late-game situations. In fact I am certain that is a topic of conversation in the QB room.

It's a strange thing how discussing QB play can result in unnecessary back and forth and talking past one another, and in the 4+ pages or whatever of discourse we haven't really had any productive discussion on the topic. So to be honest I am not interested in going on any further about it. There's only so many ways you can say something before you realize it's a waste of time, basically. Cheers man.

Yeah man, I only had one short reply on this entire thread basically just saying I agreed with the assessment overall that Goff is doing really well. The point that we might of lost because of him is silly to me. This defense shouldn't be giving up 35 points in a half. Not with as much talent as we have. That said of course Jared is open to critique, everyone is..I don't come on here and complain, just simple replies stating what I think without trying to attack anyone Which is why I didn't get old schools reply blasting me...ok... I move on though.. Cheers bro.
