I watched some video, and he's almost his clone.

But the big thing is, this guy will be WR #4 this season, when we have 4 starting LB positions available.
I guess agree to disagree. Josh is a long strider who can stretch the field and run decent routes. Jefferson is an absolutely assassin when it comes to route running. And he’s much more agile after the catch. I’ve already said he’s basically a faster Mohammed Sanu.

Maybe we're changing our offensive scheme. Pats have always managed to alter their team, offense especially, to cover up their weaknesses and exploit their strengths. If our oline can't be relied on to block for too long a deep threat at WR might not be beneficial.

What @jrry32 said. Mims has some issues, Van is pretty solid, I thought he’d go lower but I’d rather get our guys ahead of time and be able to go BPA later kinda like spades and suit of need.

Guy has elite route running, 4.46 speed, can catch in traffic. Guy is solid asf. Cooks was shaky when it came to making contested catches.

He won’t be able to prove anything until the season so you’ll just have to be mad until then! Lol

Van can catch the ball in traffic and make catches with guys on his back, but he's not very good at going up and getting it.

Sounds like we got another Robert Woods type WR

Small contributer this year, takes over for Woods next year?

Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being a big contributor. Will be interesting to see how McVay utilizes him. He's very pro ready.

Projected by who? McVay has shown his offense can score 30 points a game in NFL. I don't think McVay will feel limited to playing Jefferson in the slot.
Feel free to Do some research. an example from Anthony ‘Jefferson is quick coordinated and knows how to create separation as a route runner. he could carve out a lengthy career as a complementary receiver doing a lot of work out of the slot”

I think it shows that the Rams aren't planning on re-signing Kupp. That's mainly the reason I'm pissed.

I've called this guy Cooper Kupp part II.
I don't like the pick because we already have kupp. Perhaps you are correct in your reason...perhaps they just want more of the same guy who runs great routes and can give Kupp a breather. I don't know.
I like him, but just not for us because we already have Kupp.

We had massively more needs at ILB, OLB, OL.

He was marginal at Florida 49 catches for 657 yards which is a joke for a 2nd round prospect. Reminds me of Brian Quick what is Snead/McVay thinking.

Seriously I am honestly not sure Snead should be our GM. A bunch of serious suspect decisions of late. We let Cooks go minimum 65+ catches and 1000 yards for Van Johnson who sucks. We don't need a precise route rubber we have 2 already.

What happened to we are letting Reynolds move up and show what he can do. I thought the pov was we let Cooks go and we are good at WR so we can draft elsewhere.

We let Cory Littleton go with no good alternative or Fowler and added Floyd who has been marginal with a great player like AD that should have helped him. We need a ILB, OLB and upgrades on the 31st rated oline.

This was a complete F maybe D- for our needs.

Van looks taller... guess if you're not gonna draft a speedster at least make him tall and throw some jump balls.

Could he supplant Reynolds?

He's not a jump ball guy. He's only 6'1", and he's not very good at winning in the air. He's a guy who is going to work DBs with his route running, quickness, and football IQ. Could he supplant Reynolds? Kind of. But they have different skill-sets. What's more likely is if he earns a starting job, he takes Woods's spot at the Z and Woods slides to the X.

I don't think two Cooper Kupps would be a bad thing for this offense. ;)

I think they wanted to like up 3 or 4 WRs and the give zero tells to the Def. These WRs we got all run sharp routes and can catch. I like it.

But But

Van Jefferson does not suck, and we can always use a precise route runner. Our two precise route runners each put up over 1000 yards last year.

Thought this was a welcome thread. :D

Well... "Welcome to the Rams Mr. Van and Jared Goff is probably spankin it right now to your game film." Well that and Akers' pass blocking skills.
