Sorry. didn't copy the link but saw a "rumor" that maybe Lamar Jackson can possibly be obtained if the Ravens want to clean house and re-build. Of course that would only work if Stafford plans to retire. Jackson hasn't been stellar in the playoffs, but maybe McVay can get the most out of him? I rather get Burrough if that is a possibility. Again, only if the Rams win the Lombardi and Stafford retires.

I have seen speculation that he might want to go home to Miami. However, they have appeared to chose Jackson over Harbaugh so I doubt it. Now, maybe they might want to move on from both? Might be tired of his unavailability so often each year.

Jackson if HOF material if you only look at regular season. Post season is less than impressive with the talent that team has had. I'm actually surprised that the Raven let Harbaugh go.

I would still take a flyer on Sawyer Robertson, if he is there in the 5th or 6th. Maybe even Allar in the 6th or 7th.

If Roberston checks out above the neck, I would even take him 4/5.
Yeah gonna have to start digging up what I can find on the rest of these dudes I haven't focused in on yet. Gonna wait a bit longer to see who's declaring though.

It was probably time to fire Harbaugh. He's been there a long damn time, probably long enough for his message to stagnate.

But I'd be looking to replace the QB as well if I were stacking that roster. Let him go fill up the rest of his regular season highlight reel plays somewhere else. Might have to tank next season to position for a better QB draft.

Well if you look at how the last 3 seasons ended, it’s hard to blame Jackson
Missed FG this year
Andrews goal line drop last year
Zay Flowers goal line fumble 2 years ago

Running QBs have a short shelf life. As soon as they stop running....and they all stop running......they aren't as effective.
You don't need a running QB, you need a QB that can extend plays, when a play is shut down. Purdy can do that and to some degree, so can Darnold for example. 3rd and 6, nothing is there, the QB takes off and gets just enough for the first down.

That is what the Rams are looking for, Stafford does not have the ability to do that and IMO, the successor will. Mendoza for example can do that, obviously Moore can too. The goal is to find a QB that has that ability, pass first, but extend the play, when nothing is there and those QB's were always in vogue. Staubach, Bradshaw, Montana, Favre, Rodgers (younger), Elway (older) and even a younger Tom Brady, in fact, that is why they liked him over Bledsoe.

True. The conundrum is finding the right guy who gives the play long enough to succeed vs the guy who takes off too early.

For those that have watched Simpson play (more than just highlights), do you think his listed height/weight of 6'2" and 205-210 lbs are accurate, or a little inflated?

I don't watch college football; and do not have an opinion other than Simpson seems a tad small.

Looks about right to me, at least I didn't ever see him and think he was short.
