Why would he want that? Backup there versus backup here? He's a backup for a SB contending team with a starter that's approaching 40.

Not to mention the city, weather, etc.
Because he has a shot to start there. It's not like they have a HOF QB starting ahead of him.

Not saying it definitely happens, just saying he might find better options and more $$ to go elsewhere. He doesn't have many contracts left in him.

Miami is another spot where he could walk in and start. In fact that one makes more sense. He definitely could start and play for his former OC.

I wonder if Mateer declares. He’d be the 2nd best qb prospect (if Simpson and Moore stay in school) and might find himself buried in next year’s draft field.

You think he wants to play with that Guy ? Let’s finish this season first. There was a point Thursday Jimmy might be coming in.There was a guy that said next to me.Whose that good looking guy.
He is a first time Fantasy Player & doesn’t know football that well.He kept telling me it was going to be a Great Finish to the game.It was for him as a Hags Fan.

I give Coach D” credit for picking the Heisman Trophy winner from the start if you go back on this post.

There are a few teams who could be sniffing for a "bridge" QB that Jimmy G might fit for.. but it'd need to be a short bridge, imo.

I'm not seeing a QB worth investing in this offseason, imo... at least not out of what's *expected* will enter the draft.

Not sold on him. He must have had like 3 or 4 passes knocked down or deflected at the LOS yesterday. Wouldn't be opposed if taken later, but not rd 1.

It's kind of crazy how nobody is talking about the shit game Reed had. If it was Arch the talk would be non stop shitting on him.

BTW what most of us knew from the start.

Not really.

Reed lacks the hype, expectation, and name of Manning.

My guess is FAR more people know about Manning than care about an early Heisman list or even the award itself.
I'm just relaying what I've read and the odds I've seen. The most common 5 are Saiyan, Reed, Stockton, Smith and Arch. You can see one of the last 3 rotated in or out for another name but those are the top 5 mostly listed with Saiyan, Reed and Smith usually the top 3 listed.

Jimmy might get tired of waiting and might get an opportunity to play somewhere since there will be little impact from the draft this year at that position.
I think Jimmy's starter days may be over. It's possible he gets a starter gig as a bridge QB, which would be great to see him net us a comp pick of some kind. But that offense played to his strengths underneath, and gave him a dominant run game, and most places he's gonna get exposed as the QB1.

Reed on most every 2026 early Heisman list is on there, he on more than Arch.
I think Maiava may have surprise some in the Heisman voting next year. Losing two great weapons, but they have fantastic young talent. It's his third year in the system.. the oline and RBs should be very good.. and Riley, with a full set of weapons, can make a QB look amazing

I like him, has solid tools, throws the ball effortlessly and has the size. Much more mobile than some give him credit for.

My concern is he becomes unraveled a bit under pressure, he definetly needs work.

Certainly not a sleeper anymore, but the class could be deep and he may be an option. LOL about class could be deep. wash rinse repeat

Get a good idea if 9 want to play 2-4 more years. If he does, get him more help with the first 2 picks, or trade for more ammo down the road. Grab that Cincy kid with a 2nd or 3rd round pick. If he does not look like he guy after a year or two under McVay then go for a high first round QB.
I want to ride the Stafford train as long as he is great, its something to behold. I still like the Cincy kid, bet McVay can get the most out of him and we would not sell the farm to get him. Maybe the Dakota kid merlin likes.
