If we can trade that high #1 for a couple of 1sts from a bad team that would suit me just fine.
Unless we can get to #1 without giving up the farm and get Mendoza.
Still, I want to ride it out with Stafford for a bit.

Tennessee is going to have the #1 overall pick again, so the #1 overall pick will likely be in play

Have you actually watched South Carolina games this season, or still watching highlights only from lateness year? He has done NOTHING to earn consideration as a 1st round talent. Just another Anthony Richardson clone, no thanks.
I am assuming if you've watched South Carolina you've also watched interviews with LaNorris Sellers? If you have, you will understand that he is NOTHING LIKE Richardson. Except for being big, black, and run-first.

Richardson has rocks for brains. Sellers most certainly does not. It's a lazy comparison.

None of this to say that Sellers deserves R1 consideration this year, I agree with you that he doesn't. But he's not a Richardson clone. If he goes back for another year and gets some better o-line play, I think he could be a R1 guy in '27.

Yeah, them or the Giants, puts that pick in play. The question is how much do you give up for a Simpson or Mendoza? You have to be really sold on that kid to do that while at the same time expecting that kid to sit for a year or two, or maybe more if Stafford continues playing at a high level. This wouldn't be like spending a late #1 on Jordan Love.

I have no dog in this fight but just because one player is more articulate than the other doesn't really mean much in terms of football knowledge.

Nobody ever accused Lamar Jackson of being the best interview.

I was really hoping Shough would continue to play well so New Orleans would pass on QB, leaving the door open of a potential Manning run in '27, then if Atlanta could slip in front of the Raiders and Browns they'd be in line for the 1st QB on the board
