Saints are gonna have one of the best OL in the league this year. And they have some weapons. So don't be surprised if Shough has a solid or better rook outing. He'll fuck up, but he should also have opportunity to do some damage.

I want to see if we could pry away Rattler from them to learn behind Stafford. He's inconsistent, but I've always liked his arm and athleticism.

Saints invested 3 first and a 2nd round pick into their OL. They should have the best OL in the NFL with that investment.

This year though?
I don’t think their line will be that great. Ruiz isn’t good. Banks is a rookie that some feel should play guard. They had injuries yes, but so did our Rams and the Rams Oline graded out middle of the pack while the Saints were bottom 3-5

For what purpose? To be a 3rd string QB? Who wont get any reps with the 1's and 2's? Dont really see the point. Saints need him as he could be their starter, sharing starter with Shough or at least being solid #2 for them. If they were to trade him, they'd have to get back at least what they spent on him, a 5th rounder.
And for the Rams, with the alleged talent pool of qb next year, there isnt much a 3rd string QB is going to show that would have them think twice about drafting a QB next year

I wish Nussmeier was bigger... 6-2 200...
I feel the same way but there were some pretty good 6'2" QBs. Warner, Montana, Favre, Rodgers.......
Early Consensus Big Board…

ESPN Ranks:
Allar, Beck, Klubnik, Leavitt, Manning

Phil Steele:
Nussmeier, Manning, Klubnik, Leavitt, Sellers
Too early to make this call. There are a lot of very talented guys who will be draft eligible, but all will need to progress in some areas. Some will progress. Some won't. A few other guys to keep an eye on:
Fernando Mendoza (Indiana)
John Mateer (Oklahoma)
Avery Johnson (Kansas State)
Eli Holstein (Pitt)
Marcel Reed (TAMU)
Jayden Maiava (USC)
Taylen Green (Arkansas)
Other names to consider....Miller Moss, Zack Calzada
1. Arch Manning….He’s most like his grandfather and hopefully lands on a better team.
2. LaNorris Sellers. Carrying the Gamecocks on his back.
Sellers definitely needs seasoning. He had 14 fumbles last year and though he makes plays, the majority of them are when he's off schedule. NFL studs need to make plays on schedule.

The theory is, the Rams trade with Atlanta has set them up to draft Stafford's heir apparent in 2026. But what if Stafford looks real good this year and gives the Rams the word, he'll likely play through 2026 & 2027. There will be some QB needy team in the 2026 draft who might give the Rams a 2026 2nd and a 2027 1st and 3rd. As someone in this thread commented, "I wouldn't be surprised if the 2026 QB class wasn't as good as expected". That would certainly run up the price of a 2026 1st round pick.

IDK, if Arch Manning comes out, it will be a great QB class and if he does not, it should still be better then previous seasons. Rams have the ammunition with two draft choices to make their pick and even if Stafford looks great and wins a Super Bowl, he will be 38 in 2026 and IMO, the Rams will be looking for his replacement.

And keep this in mind when your head hits the pillow tonight @PARAM if they draft Penn State QB Drew Patrick Allar I will be sending you constant private messages as to how good will he be.

My worry about Arch is I'm afraid he will be like Archie and the Manning legacy will come full circle. Archie, good but on a bad team. Peyton and Eli 4 Superbowl Championships, Arch nothing.

I'm a Penn St. fan and I think Allar can be real good. The one problem....and it's a big one.....is he looks overmatched and hasn't shown up in the Big Games. I like his arm, his size but there's more than a hint of panic vs Ohio St, Michigan, Oregon, etc.. Like Kyren and correcting his ball security issues, if Allar can show up in the big games this year, his stock rises significantly. One thing in his favor there, is Penn St. is predicted to be playing for the National Title by many 'experts' so he could get that shot. Show up and move up.

Allar wouldnt even look at a WR against ND in the Orange Bowl, only checked down and threw to TE's
I know you cant take too much out of one game but that game was there for the taking and Allar flat out lost it
I cant see why folks are so high on him

I agree 100% on Allar, this is his year to shine and Penn State should be ready to challenge for the Natty. I have Texas winning it all, but it is time for both Allar and Head Coach James Franklin to prove they can win big games other then against Boise Freaking State.

My apologies again for my bias against Boise State, I communicated I was going to be nicer to the Broncos from Idaho, but I guess it is still a work in progress.

As a Nevadan i say don't worry about upsetting Boise St. people. I'm generalizing but having met a lot over the years they're a very arrogant group of people.

What do they have to be arrogant about? Their firearms?
It's a smaller school but for the most part in a small school region they've been a successful football team. They like to think because they're better than Idaho st and Utah st and mo tana like schools that's something to brag about. Then you see the smurf turf and just laugh at them.

How Atlanta season goes will have a lot to do with it. As for the Rams own pick, expect it to be very late in the draft. I still have a feeling Trevor Lawrence could end up a Ram at some point.

If the Jaguars are not good and the picks for he Rams are later, this could come to fruition, but that contract will be difficult to endure.
