Absolutely no on Allar, Klubnik, Nussmeier, and ESPECIALLY Carson Beck (Miami). Beck is a fucking cancer who throws everyone under the bus except for him. While I'd be upset if any of the former three were the pick for QB of the future, picking Beck would cost me a new TV.

Mendoza to me is far better than Simpson at this stage and his ability to extend plays is huge.
Hell of a nice game thus far. Two defenses in fine form.

Mendoza is gonna need to open them up with his passing.

He missed some shit tonight due to his eyes not being downfield, and that early INT killed his team. But I don't disagree re: his protections and that offense has looked like opposing defenses have the answer to the test.

You know what I was thinking while watching that game tonight was that he'd be a perfect QB for Ratboy. He's a play action assassin, but there's not a lot of teams where he won't need to carry the offense at some point in the NFL.

It does look like he's got enough arm for McVay. But I think his game right now is gonna cost him in the draft. He looks like a midround game manager QB. I'd take Payton over him straight up every day and twice on Sunday, because whoever we pick can cook on the depth chart.
Well, what you're describing sounds like he would be perfect for McVay, too.

I’m totally off the pick a QB in the 1st round this year.

Maybe….maybe Sellers at 32 if McVay falls in love with him and gives him a couple years to develop/learn as a backup.

Otherwise take a flyer in day 2 (or early day 3) and/or wait for next year.

Take him or Sellers at the Atl pick IMO. If that's the value the Rams place on the player then fine they know more than any of us. Plus watching the meltdowns are always fun.
Agreed on the meltdowns. Lol

I personally wouldn't touch Sellers early. He needs a lot of development in the mental aspects.

Simpson is way ahead of him there, and that's the part I value the most. I wouldn't mind if they took Simpson with the Atl pick but I think there's a chance he falls due to his size, so was just imagining my ideal scenario.

Sellers ain't falling that far if he comes out. If he falls to our Falcons first, we should take him.

Yeah, to me it's trade up for Mendoza or wait for a day 2 or day 3 guy. And the trade up would hinge on if Stafford retires, or they know 26' will be his last year. If he continues to play great and expresses he is looking at 2 more years or more, then don't panick and give up draft capital for a QB this year.
