I’m down to basically Mendoza or Sellers
Doubt we can get the former and think the latter isn’t coming out

One thing is for certain is our appraisals of QB's differs from GM's. As a Clemson fan pass on Klubnik and Nuss is worse than him.
Nussmeir won’t be able to hold up at the next level. Hell he can’t hold up at the collegiate level.

I am thinking Mendoza trade up, or take a shot later on in the draft for a developmental QB like Robertson, Sorby, Cole Payton, etc... an athlete with size who just might develop.

The hope would be Stafford plays at least 2 more years and the kid shows promise over those two years. Still allows you to go all in on a QB down the road via trade or trade up in the draft.

He and Klubnik are almost identical in size to Simpson as well.
Yeah and I think the size is the story with a lot of these guys in this year's group. Simpson's film was ridiculous early on, but he looked like a backup QB tonight. His eyes were fully on the rush. Made a couple real nice passes that were dropped by his weapons, but overall he looked like a QB who requires a run game plus he's small so looks like he's gonna slot somewhere midround.

Maiava is probably a round 2 value but his arm and size and ability means he'll rise. It is what it is. Teams need the position filled and his perceived upside is gonna make him overdrafted.

I'm wondering if the Oregon kid's gonna come out. He could spice up that early going.

I'm honestly giving him a pass for the second half of the season. Watching this OL the last few weeks is just pathetic. Proctor is capable of being a good OT in the NFL but the rest are pretty bad. Brailsford has really to me tailed off as the year went along. No QB would look good behind this OL and I don't think his OC or WR's did him any favors either.

I see enough with Maiava that I wouldn't be upset if we took him. I at this point worry very little about the round projections they just don't worry me right now.

Right now I'm thinking I take Cole Payton midrounds and stick him behind Stafford.

He missed some shit tonight due to his eyes not being downfield, and that early INT killed his team. But I don't disagree re: his protections and that offense has looked like opposing defenses have the answer to the test.

You know what I was thinking while watching that game tonight was that he'd be a perfect QB for Ratboy. He's a play action assassin, but there's not a lot of teams where he won't need to carry the offense at some point in the NFL.

It does look like he's got enough arm for McVay. But I think his game right now is gonna cost him in the draft. He looks like a midround game manager QB. I'd take Payton over him straight up every day and twice on Sunday, because whoever we pick can cook on the depth chart.

Cole Payton got hurt today. Not sure how bad it was, but he went out around 3rd quarter with lead and never came back - team ended up losing

Not a fan of selecting any QB with so few starts. In fact, I really hate it.

But, for some reason, I wouldn't be mad if the Rams selected QB Ty Simpson in the 1st round IF they didn't have to trade up for him. And these last few games have probably helped that cause.

Now while I haven't been very impressed with him lately, (the last few without his safety blanket in TE Cuevas) I believe he could potentially be an ideal fit in a McVay/Shanahan style of offense utilizing play-action and a good rushing attack which he didn't have at Alabama.
