For candidates - Yes. For order/ranking - No. Example: Arch Manning hasn’t proven shit. Just an early point of reference.
Until he does. Watch him this year, it will be one for the ages and I am not rooting for him especially his first game of the year.

In before this gets moved to the draft section (immediately following a 503 brain hemorrage).

Based ONLY on these highlight videos I like TN QB Iamaleava the best. Looks really good going through his reads. Processes quickly & delivers/rifles the ball quickly & accurately. Throws a beautiful ball. Makes accurate throws. Shows great pocket awareness. Throws great on the run. Fast runner with the ball. Lots to like. He would be my pick if he doesn't have any character issues. The only negative I'm seeing is a slight frame, but Jayden Daniels is like that, so there's that. LOL
I see nothing but character issues with this kid. Not getting paid enough in college is a huge red flag, especially when apparently only 1 losing team went after him.

WAAAYYY too early to tell. There's no Andew Luck / Peyton Manning type to know a year or so in advance.

Quite frankly, it wouldn't surprise me if next year's QB draft class isn't close to being as good to what some are making it out.

Thanks for your reply & opinion. What a shame. Ya can't fix stupid. Meddling parents may mean well, but their judgment is sincerely impaired. Deon made a huge mistake. McVay will not tolerate low or bad character from players or meddling parents. Bond screwed up big time too. Poor judgment. Young & dumb. The NIL $$$ has changed things in college sports obviously in a very big way. Evidently that a lot to do with the Iamaleava situation.
Players were always getting paid. It’s just that NIL makes it legal. In some ways, you hate the transfer portal and NIL…but it’s better for the players than the alternative.

I still remember that Arian Foster story where he was hungry, couldn’t pay for food and begged his coach to get him something so he “wouldn’t do something stupid”.

Before you knock Foster, athletes burn far more calories than normal people, and therefore, have to eat more than normal people. The typical student stipend doesn’t cover that. And before NIL, it wasn’t legal for athletes to get paid in any way other than their free college ride.

Do I wish NIL was more fair to other sports like baseball, hockey, and women’s sports? I absolutely do. Do I wish it wasn’t responsible for more situations than Iamaleava’s? I absolutely do. But I’d rather have that than athletes get hungry enough to do stupid shit and be not allowed to work separate jobs to add money to their pockets.

The other part of that story is that he was made promises that changes would be made to the offense to make him more NFL ready and when that didn't happen everything blew up. If true, I don't blame him for not wanting to be the next UT QB to do next to nothing in the NFL.

I predict the trade package to move up will be astronomical.

My guess would be at LEAST 3 #1's ('26, '26, and '27) AND one or two second rounders ('26 and '27).

I'm basing this guess on the idea that Atlanta will have a mid-range pick (around 15-18) and Rams will have a great year and therefore a late pick (27-32 range, hoping for 32 :sunglasses:).

Key to the whole deal will be Atlanta's draft slot-- how plausible it would be to move into the top 3. Getting to the top overall will be a steep, steep price.

Regardless-- I foresee McSnead going ALL IN for a premier QB in 2026. Snead did the MONSTER deal to move up to #1 with Tennessee to get Goff in 2016. And then McSnead with the MONSTER deal to get Stafford in '21.

Hold on to your butts because Trader Les is going ALL IN in 2026 for Stafford's successor. And the price will be very, very, very steep.

(And ultimately worth it!!)

Edit: Reminder of the STEEP PRICE of the previous trades:
2016 to get Goff:
Rams send 2 1sts, 2 2nds, 2 3ds.
Rams receive Goff and a 4th and a sixth.

2021 to get Stafford:
Rams send Goff, 2 1sts, and a 3rd.
Rams get Stafford.

His dad interfered in the entire process. Real helicopter parent, got greedy off his son’s name and talent.

He’s Todd Marinovich all over again, like someone here mentioned somewhere, I forgot where.

It may be used to secure the missing piece before the deadline for a Super Bowl run in this upcoming season. I Like Nuss, Manning & Allar but there is a lot of story to tell.

A POTENTIAL QB to me too is Mark Gronowski (Not R1)

He strongly considered leaving for the NFL but transferred to Iowa for his last season under OC Tim Lester. He wanted to get B1G play under his belt. He'll be running Lesters O which is heavily influenced by Shanahan/McVay/LaFleur.

He's 6'3 220lbs.. a 2x National Champion at South Dakota State. Here are his stats.

Wow I can never imagine Iowa ever having an offense, so I am keeping an eye on this.

Yeah, Les has got to hold onto those picks for a whole year.

Now that's our first hurdle.

Thanks for comment. I hope they don't use one of the 1sts for a missing piece, but ya never know & if it works then draft capital well spent.

I would really be shocked if McVay drafts a number one QB.

He has said trading for a known commodity is far better than the unknown rookie draft pick.

Thanks for the reply. If they can make a deal to move all the way up to #1 U R right the price would be monumental
