I'm sure that's true but I don't believe for a moment that the #'s were as high as they currently are for the elite college athlete.

Cars, cash, gifts and perks most men only fantasize about ... Yes

But Millions of $ ... No way
It’s relative. To this day Dickerson is always mum on his Transam, but grins every time the subject is addressed.

The single biggest difference between McVay and many of these other WCO coaching staffs is his preference to stretch the field vertically. It is why I say he's a Coryell soul trapped in a WCO body. And any QB he ends up drafting has to be able to keep his eyes downfield. No Mac Jones or Brock Purdys for McVay.
The video of Mendoza explaining to Urban Meyer what he saw and what he did vs Penn St. was impressive. Somebody like that I could see McVay getting excited about. But I don't know that there are that many college QBs with the talent AND the brains.....at least not the level where Mendoza seems to be. We'll certainly see. I believe if McVay got his hands on Mendoza or somebody equally as good, he's coach another 10 - 12 years!!!

Sellers would be making a massive mistake if he returns to S.Carolina. Big time teams will be lined up for him if he transferred. He make more $ and have an offensive line to block for him if he went elsewhere. It was a joke of a supporting cast for him last season. Go to a powerhouse team and be the undisputed 1st overall pick and get more $. But that's just me.

I think he should have declared. But I don't see much upside to going back and transferring, unless Curt Cignetti and Indiana are offering.
IDK might have had his choice of Indiana, LSU, Miami or even close to home in Clemson. All better options than South Carolina under a HC who will be in his last year IMO.

When it's all said and done, think this QB class is gonna be real thin with many decent QB's returning and there will be a huge market for that 1st pick. Kings ransom kinda stuff.

Not a good year to need a QB.

You don't leave South Carolina for Clemson. I'd question the character of a QB who did that. I would not play for Lane Kiffin if I wanted NFL development. Miami and Indiana are fine. But if I were him, I'd have gone to the NFL. Regardless, he chose to return, and I commend him for sticking with his teammates.

Meyer probably didn't hear a word he said. He was thinking of that sweet college arse he would be grabbing onto later that night. That's why he was so excited.

Late 6th or 7th rd pick is worth a shot. You don't know if these guys were hurt by their coaching and could be reclamation projects.
Klubnik had good coaching and I watched every game of his. Allar was just terrible and seemed to get worse. Backup OL or a teams contributor even DB depth are much better ideas with those day 3 picks.

So.. there are a couple of QbS I'm seeing that may move up during off-season process..

As an aside, I dont like short Qbs... so rumors about Ty Simpson and the like going to us.. I like Simpson but I'd prefer a taller QB..

But I guys who I could see moving up into the first 2 rounds would be

Taylen Green from Boise then Arkansas... 6'6... big arm.. athletic... a year behind Stafford in a dynamic system could produce an impactful QB

The other QB is Sawyer Robertson
6'4... quick release.. 300 yds per game last year at Baylor...

Both will be at the Senior bowl, and we like the Senior bowl
