Yeah but Didn't fisher just give them Spa Days when it was an easy win?

From what I saw of TC the last 2 preseasons, Fisher gave them spa days during TC. But McVay dont play that, McVays TC was fast paced, reps were more productive, with 3 QBs working simultaneously instead of 1 getting reps whilethe other 2 watched. I only saw a few days of camp both years but the difference was dramatic.

It's a funny feeling....reading fans of teams...that really don't feel like they have a chance against us....

just

wow

At least we always knew the Rams had a chance to beat most good teams, didnt happen often, but it did from time to time.

It's fine to go with one's own feelings. However it gets a bit sketchy when some make major efforts to point out how his stance offended all of a group when many within that same group say otherwise and are conveniently ignored.
Just like it gets sketchy to say it's ok to do it if one person of a group says it's ok. Just like it doesn't matter what anybody else things follow your own feelings. It's a lot better than following other people just because of their feelings.

Because Kaepernick went about his protest the wrong way. He kneels, decided to opt out of his contract, won’t take a pay cut and become the back up QB, says he will start standing just to have a roster spot and then sues the NFL for black balling him. BS. He did it to himself.
Totally agree. He was under contract. He had a job and a paycheck. The rest is politics.

It's hard to imagine that CK isn't better than what the Texans have....and after watching last night, I'm sure he's better than anything the Cardinals have too.
He hasn't played in a while...Kaep would get killed if he walked off the street into a new system and was expected to play at a high level. He's being romanticized a bit I think....Would I like Kaep to be inserted into the Texan's offense right now? HELL YES...we would freaking end his world...

LACHAMP46...This is the Kaep I remember near the end of his time as the Niners QB....He was a product of Harbaugh..He has physical tools, but isn't that smart on the football field...He's like a QB version in football intelligence on par with Greg Robinson, which would excite only you..ha!

Brown is out, Quinn is doubtful with an illness and Carrier is doubtful with a hamstring. Dunbar is likely active behind Gurley at RB on Sunday according to McVay.

OFFICIAL GAME DAY THREAD - HOUSTON TEXANS!!! Vs Los Angeles Rams!!! @@@

Game 9 / Week 10

Record: 3 - 5

Tom Savage only scored one TD, what a difference not having DW4 in there makes. Still cannot believe they lost that game, so sad! Well it's the Texans, who knows what will happen in this game.

NFL Game Preview

ESPN Game Summary

ESPN Expert Picks

Injury Report
580RamsIJ2.jpg

--------------
Maybe they will get hot near the end of the season, right?
smile.png

----------
Maybe Tom will find his mojo.

And our OL will play like an NFL OL...?

And our defense will rediscover itself?

One can hope.
----------
A better chance of simians flying out of my rectal region.
----------
This game is going to be a beat down in the mold of the Dolphins/Vikings beat downs the Texans got last year.
-----------
Great thread keener. Too bad it has to be on such a negative note. The only chance the Texans have of winning is if the Rams forfeit the game.

And you know I'm a homer and always have hope against hope. Unfortunately, I can't in this game without Deshaun Watson in there
---------
Sorry but these cheerleaders look like dudes.... look at the brows. Another strike against this mess called the NFL.

[Official] Texans @ Rams

Texans better get the lube ready.
----------
I'm hoping Savage either 1) balls out 1st drive and we score Seven or 2) tweeks an ankle, so Johnson is forced to play.

The defense can go ahead and show up.
----------
Any chance at Greg Robinson?
-----------
Robinson is absolutely horrible.
----------
LA revenge for the World Series.
----------
I have faith in O'Brien's game scheme and savages ability to keep this a close game:
TEXANS - 3
Rams- 57
---------
Is there any chance Gurley doesn’t steam roll this poor tackling D?

Over/under 3.5 TDs for Gurley?

I’ll expect the usual Savage output. So Rams 42 Texans 7
---------
Going out on a very weak limb

Texans win and Savage does not finish the game.

Win is probably not going to happen but stranger things had happened before.

Savage sitting much more likely, by bench or injury

"This is the type of game where you just sit in front of the TV with a bottle of Jack Daniels and weed and just have a good laugh. What we did to the Titans, get ready for that to happen to us several times before this season is over with"

I was laughing so hard at this quote...

This describes basically the last decade of being a Rams fan and why this year is such a massive shock.

Our improvement has given us whiplash...

You're right. It's just like Tebow. NFL teams have to balance optics with talent. If they think Kaepernick is a starting QB who will lead them to the playoffs, the PR issues are worth the talent he brings. If they only see him as a backup QB or weak starter who won't take them anywhere, they're not going to deal with the PR issues because he doesn't offer enough talent.

It's simply the reality of football being a business.

True enough. I still maintain that had Tebow switched to TE, he'd be a perennial pro bowler and the attention would have been worth it.

Man I hope the Rams stay humble and continues to work hard. It’s easy to sit on your successes and bask in the glow. Especially in LA. Pedal to the metal baby.

Funny the media didn't make a stink when teams blacklisted Tebow.
Tebow really can't play....he was given an opportunity on at least 2 teams.

@OC--LeftCoast

Too much stuff to write about this topic...that isn't football.

And, I'm not cool with a lot of stuff.....A LOT....

but if a guy has ability....I'd use him....regardless of his views...his stance...his feelings...or my own feelings. Playing Tom Savage....Case Keenum....Drew Stanton....I'll throw Jay Cutler in there as well, over a proven talent like Kaep is foolish...in a league that supposedly based on a meritocracy-type system

Hope you enjoyed your Veterans Day bro...but the struggle for others is real.

I remember him diving into the endzone to beat us last year on a team not half as good as the Texans.

I don't think we'd be talking about it as a disaster, like the HOU fans are... I think McVay's system would elevate Mannion and the Rams would continue to be successful. As successful as it is with Goff? No, but maybe successful enough to continue winning games on a consistent basis.

I was just wondering if others felt that would be the case as well.

I haven't seen enough of Mannion to feel comfortable against the better teams. He might win against the Texans, Colts and Giants.

That's the kind of thinking that got the Redskins where they are now with Cousins.

Truth is Goff has improved so markedly that he's on the verge of being elite, and is running a no-huddle pre-snap read approach like a veteran. There would be significant dropoff from him to Mannion right now. Let's hope we don't need to find that out.

Great point on running the no huddle.

So he beat a suck ass Rams team by being a mobile QB that isn't smart enough to be a pocket QB?..that is verification of his greatness?

Scored two 4th quarter TD's....and converted a 2-point conversion....great...naw....but pretty damn good the way our defense was playing that day. They were playing for Bones....hard....

I give credit where credit is due my friend....

Enjoy the game today...Meet you in the celebration thread later!:yess:
