While Redtails would give an interesting twist, it's not too difficult to figure out they will be the Washington Warriors. Some will claim, it's still a Native American reference, but overall, the concepts, logo with spear will align with their fan base and IMO, would calm the masses.

There are so many bird teams in the NFL, so while I like Redhawks, I wouldn't go with it for a name. Wouldn't go with the Warriors; it sounds bland. Redtails and Red Wolves are interesting, but only the Redtails really fit the area. I've heard Red Hogs as another name, and that would be my personal favorite.
