Given our losses this year, this team has proven we are too inconsistent to make a deep push into the playoffs. Too many games we've witnessed players not being ready to play. That's just not gonna do.
You use words like PROVEN a lot to define your opinion as if it should be considered fact.

oh and btw only 3 teams in the NFC have more wins than the Rams so I guess everyone with 9 wins or less is too inconsistent to go deep in the playoffs? Better yet why even have the playoffs let’s just anoint the regular season champs!

There seems to be some misconceptions around here that you need to win pretty or that decisive victories count more than the ugly ones... spoiler alert the talent gap in the NFL is never as big as people think that’s why the average margin of victory is like 8 points (don’t quote me). The ONLY goal is to win and only three teams (pending the rest of the season) in the NFC have done that more consistently than the rams so whatever your arbitrary definition of consistency looks like is irrelevant. Nothing has been PROVEN about how this season will end up. Make the playoffs and it’s anyone’s game year after year that’s how it works out otherwise we would already know it’s going to be chiefs packers and chiefs will win.

No, it's the quality of teams that we have lost to. Outside of the Bills game (which we should have won) we have completely shit the bed against inferior teams. And there's no misconception here a win is a win, is a win. I don't care how we win, but just win baby. The Rams can't seem to get over that hump of not playing down to your opponents. And that's where the problem lies. It's not a talent gap, or a coach outcoaching McVay. It's about the players wanting it, and prepping for a shitty team the way they probably prepped for the Pats shows me all I need to see about this team this year.
Here's a living example. I compete in judo and jujitsu professionally. My very first jujitsu competition I ended up going against a teammate that I usually dominate on the mats. I knew my first match was against him and I got over confident in my skills and totally got my ass kicked. Why? Because he studied I did not. You don't think these other players have the same human qualities that other human beings have? I'll answer that question. They do. It's called film study and making sure mentally you are prepared for what the other team is going to possibly throw at you. The Rams obviously did not take this game 100% seriously, and it showed. Proofs in the pudding as they say.

I can assure you that the rams watched film and had a game plan for the Jets I find it hard to believe an entire organization just stopped doing their job for a week. Now if you want to to tell me they did it less than normal or didn’t try as hard ...sure that’s your opinion. Not one you can prove or even back with meaningful claims. And no saying they looked “flat” is not a meaningful claim it’s a subjective label I can use at any moment if a drive stalls.

statistically speaking it was extremely unlikely the Jets finished with 0 wins. They were going to beat someone and it happened to be us. For some reason people on here can’t accept the Jets just outplayed us it had to have been an underlying issue. We didn’t absolutely throw the game away with multiple pick 6s or anything like that. They had a solid defensive game plan and on offense sustained drives and scored when they needed to. Maybe we just lost.

We play down to the competition but we also play up to the competition

Tampa Bay Chicago (5-2 at the time) Seattle Arizona even Buffalo which we had in the bag except for the horrible official call

You could also say we played up to the competition for New England since the players so badly wanted to win that game

Miami (at the time) Jets SF all were played down to the competition.

We can beat the good teams just can't beat the crappy teams for some reason unless they are the NFC east

Idk about this, McVay seems like a pretty sincere dude. It’s probably hard for him to get hyped up to face the jets and giants. We’ve played to our level of competition and looked elite against elite teams.

I don’t think we’ll come out vs a playoff team and look like we did yesterday. Goff and McVay really need to keep this team focused though.

I wish Goff was a little more passionate. He seems like McVays dog instead of team leader.
