I'd like to imagine an alternate reality where he decides to stay at Clemson and snubs the Jets, just because that would be the thing you'd expect when talking about the Jets. But I don't think he'd pass up the chance to get paid for doing what he does best. The Jets are crap but the NY market offers a ton of endorsement opportunities.

Really depends on the FO first. They have an opportunity to be set for years of they make the right moves.

I'm pretty sure the jets will get his opinions on head coaches he would like to play for in the nfl. They would be pretty dumb not to check with his camp to ensure he declares for the draft.

I don't know what goff thought coming to a Jeff fisher offense with Rob boreus as the oc. But then again he wasn't the slam dunk #1 pick.

The Bolts have a pretty good young QB. He's not going there.
Maybe not where I was headed with that, was mainly using Spanos as a shitty owner example rather than an organization that would take Lawerence. I’m not familiar with Jets ownership but would imagine he or she is pretty shitty from history and the people the pick to run their organization.

ps i had Justin Herbert on my fantasy for a bit because of injuries and he did pretty decent for that stretch! Lol

I dont think the Jets situation is as bad as folks are making out. Couple of good WR, solid LOT and plenty of cap space. They'll have the new HC in place long before the draft.
As long as Gase is fired on Jan 4, I dont see why there is a worry. Of course, I'd also wait as long as possible (I think Jan 18 is latest to declare) before doing so

That's a good question.
Here in the NYC area it used to be known that a "Jets fan" was merely someone who couldnt get Giants season tickets. (Back in the day of course when there was a waiting list for those)
So I grew up as quasi supporter (cant say "fan") of the Giants (when they werent playing the Rams of course) and looked at the Jets as the loveable losers. On the brief occurrence that they were actually good, I'd root for them. (Richard Todd, Ken O'Brien, Bill Parcells era's)
Even when Mangini had the ship in the right direction, I found them likeable (he did expose the Pats after all). But once Rex Ryan took over, all bets were off. Somehow the fans who knew their place in the world became like a smash up of the worst aspects (as if there are any good ones) of Eagles, Cowboys, 49ers and Patriot fans...
When that minute in history ended, I'm not sure what exactly happened to the fan base, I think they gravitated to the Pats bandwagon or something

I do my best to not kick fan bases while they’re down...we were the laughing stock of the league for too long. Shout out to the Jets fans supporting losing teams and watching the draft ...that’s true fandom!

I used to tell people I was a Die Hard Ram Fan when we were down. I'd say, "As a Ram fan, I die hard and often." I felt like it was an original thought.

Those years make stretches like the GSOT and McVay years so much sweeter. I take none of it for granted.

I hope good things for the Jets fans starting next week.

Im coming in late...I dont see too many like you. Can you post why you think so? Everyone loves him. What makes you not?

Not being a dick, genuinely curious.
I meant as a first overall pick.
But then, I would almost always be looking to trade down with that pick.
If I’m the Jets I’m trying to trade that pick all day.
But, I would be saying that most years with rare exceptions.

To completely do a segway on this topic, I didn't start watching this show until about a month ago.

Really funny show.
I've never seen it myself.

The Jets would like to announce that they have decided on their head coach and GM of the future. Coming out of retirement, they are welcoming Jeffrey Michael Fisher and William Joseph Peter Francis Devaney as head coach and general manager, respectively. They bring with them years of NFL experience and the Jets organization feels the hiring sets the franchise up for success for many years to come.

Jets fans would be put on suicide watch.
