Akers, Henderson and Funk all looked good in TC. A lot of emphasis on targeting rb's coming out of the backfield.
But he's also already accounted for in NE's cap. So even if they ate half, they'd still be opening up cap space. Either ways, I imagine the money makes it unlikely, and I certainly wouldn't give up a Day 2 pick. But it's an option. The Patriots have less cap space than the Rams.
I don' see a fit.
In the past, I have been correct about these type of things a solid 44%-46% of-the-time.

You honestly think it’s a good idea to trade or bring in a O’Lineman. But he's also already accounted for in NE's cap. So even if they ate half, they'd still be opening up cap space. Either ways, I imagine the money makes it unlikely, and I certainly wouldn't give up a Day 2 pick. But it's an option
Good post!Get stronger through the process and time of recovery.
Take the time to really understand the offense, schemes and execution of his role.
Long term, I think Bruss certainly shows promise.
I was hoping he could step in right away and start.....but, that wasn't going to happen. But, he wasn't terrible by any stretch in his first action.
Noteboom, Allen, Edwards.....the Rams didn't really rush any of these guys. They took time to develop them.
I would have had Kolone gone nearly as soon as he arrived.
The Rams took their time and it appears he has improved greatly.
Anchrum is another player they have taken time to develop.
Its more of an old school approach with the OL and I get it.
I have no idea. But if we're worried after Bruss, it's an option. You honestly think it’s a good idea to trade or bring in a O’Lineman.
That this young players aren’t very good & ascending players?
—Of course if we go by draft status it makes sense. UdrFA’s & 7th rd picks.
So I guess I’m drinking to much of the Cool-aide again.
My track record though has been very very solid since Mcvay has been HC.
There’s no worry about Brusss. Imo it was actually the best thing that could have happened. Like Tutu & Harris both players get time to slow everything down & develop into better players.I have no idea. But if we're worried after Bruss, it's an option.
I have always had the opinion the Rams in most years should use a top 3 pick on the O line.
Keep it stocked up. Its a Rams tradition as well as a great running game.
They go hand in hand coach.
I feel like we’re gonna see a lot of Anchrum and that it won’t be a bad thing.Rams’ backup offensive linemen look to improve after shaky preseason performance

Tremayne Anchrum is playing freely in his third season and it helps that Coach Sean McVay has mentioned him in multiple news conferences as a player who has impressed this summer.www.pe.com
“It doesn’t matter who the hell is out there,” Rams guard Tremayne Anchrum said when asked about the poor preseason showing the backup offensive line had against the Houston Texas last week. “We gotta do better. We have to figure out those fundamentals. No matter what technique they play or different looks we see, we still have to apply our fundamentals and compete. We lost a lot of those battles (last week). We’re not proud of that.”
Rams guard Tremayne Anchrum was joking, but his facial expressions and deep breaths described the type of stress he and many other unproven players across the league are dealing with during the preseason.
“You can’t think about … making the team,” Anchrum said last week after the Rams’ preseason loss against the Houston Texans. “That stuff used to weigh me down back in the day, the last two years. But now I’ve cleared my head.”
Anchrum is playing freely in his third season and it helps that Rams coach Sean McVay has mentioned him during multiple news conferences as a player who has impressed this summer. But Anchrum, the team’s 2020 seventh-round draft pick, has quickly gone from roster bubble player to someone in need after the season-ending injury to rookie guard Logan Bruss, who tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee against the Texans.
McVay listed Anchrum, AJ Jackson and Bobby Evans as backup players expected to provide depth to the offensive line and all three are capable of playing guard or tackle. Anchrum started at right tackle for two seasons at Clemson, where he won a national championship in 2018, before moving to offensive guard in the NFL. Jackson is in line to be the swing tackle, but he’s seen snaps at guard during the preseason, and Evans has starting experience on the inside and outside.
The versatility of the trio could lead to the Rams only keeping eight offensive linemen when finalizing their 53-man roster after Saturday’s preseason finale against the Cincinnati Bengals. That would create an extra roster spot at other crowded positions, but most teams tend to keep nine offensive linemen and that might be wise after the injury to Bruss. Left tackle Joe Noteboom, left guard David Edwards, center Brian Allen, right guard Coleman Shelton and right tackle Rob Havenstein form the starting unit.
McVay expressed confidence in Anchrum, Jackson and Evans to be ready in case more injuries occur, but he mentioned that he wasn’t pleased with the backup offensive line’s performance against the Texans last week. Backup quarterback John Wolford was sacked five times in the first half with Anchrum, Jackson and Evans blocking for him.
Anchrum declined the excuse of the backup offensive line playing against most of the Texans’ starting defense.
“It doesn’t matter who the hell is out there,” Anchrum said. “We gotta do better. We have to figure out those fundamentals. No matter what technique they play or different looks we see, we still have to apply our fundamentals and compete. We lost a lot of those battles (last week).
“We’re not proud of that. We take pride in keeping our guys up. … It wasn’t a great showing. We picked it up toward the end, but there’s a lot that we left out there that we should have fixed.”
Anchrum can breathe a sigh of relief. His job is likely secured, but the Rams’ reserve offensive linemen need a bounce-back performance against the Bengals on Saturday.
Good post!
When I spent a large amount of my time reevaluating Jeremiah Kolone's two preseason games, it gave me a new perspective & opinion of Logans Bruss. I see a promising starting RG in the future for the Rams.
The main problem that RG Bruss had to overcome was not the defenders in front of him but the poor play on each & every snap by his own players who he was working with RT Evans & OC Kolone. The 3-player OL'er right side operation was miss firing most of the time. What a mess!
2023 preseason hopefully we will get to see Ram's top 2022 top draft selection Bruss playing next to real competent bonified NFL OL'ers who will be actually working with him in his OL blocking assignments. That was not the case this preseason..... a terrible shame. Carberry did Bruss no favors to assist him placing him between two bad performing OL'ers.
Well from what I’ve noticed about Anchrum is he doesn’t look small out there & he can get to the next level.I feel like we’re gonna see a lot of Anchrum and that it won’t be a bad thing.
Here is my witness, but BubbaRam.Akers, Henderson and Funk all looked good in TC. A lot of emphasis on targeting rb's coming out of the backfield. As to Edwards, he's the weak link is bullcrap. The weak link just signed in Carolina.
Yeah - ok if your playing Fantasy football & not in a keeper league. Then that would even change things. The Rams didn't need OL last year, so that expense wasn't necessary. What the Rams really required was a RB, and they traded away two draft picks and assumed Sony Michel's CAP. Just saying that teams do what they must to stay competitive. Sure a RB is cheaper than an offensive lineman or an Edge, but our CAP was pretty tight last year as well, although they still traded two more draft picks away for Von Miller, and the bulk of his CAP costs were built into his incentives which came out of our current 2022 CAP.
I'll repeat, I'm not frozen on acquiring Wynn, but I do believe a high caliber player who can help our run game and potentially replace Edwards next season would be highly beneficial. jmo.
My concerns & hopes are no one claims any of The Rams young Offensive Lineman in Arcuri & Snyder.Last year, at this point-in-time, there was a ton of concern here about the Rams' O-Line and whether it was good enough. The Rams front office and coaching staff thought so, and they were right. But on this Forum, there was a lot of concern.
My point was there did not need to be as much concern last year at this time; so, perhaps concern is not warranted this time either.
Again, I also have O-Line concerns; and did even before Bruss' injury. However, last year at this time, I hated the idea of Brian Allen starting at center.
We have the same concerns and hopes.
