Before I read what others have asked Santa Snead to bring down the chimney for the bye week here is my wish list...

1. I wish for cheerleaders with more gratuitous cleavage.
2. I wish for us to move Cam for either future draft capital or a young player with a few years left on a rookie deal.
3. I wish for us to raid practice squads as there must be more value there.
4. I wish for us to cut underperforming players with no trade value, namely Evens and Colonic.
5. I wish that we keep as much of our draft capital as possible.

Pretty non-specific but that's what I got. I think we're at a crucial juncture and can no longer "carry" non-performing players. As the old saying goes, one person's trash is another person's treasure. ;)

1. Yes, absolutely.
2. Yes
3. Yes
4. Yes
5. Yes, although we do have three 6'th round picks, I'd be willing to spend one of them. And while I'd like to keep the remainder of our 2023 draft picks, I have no problem spending a 2024 1'st or 2'nd round pick on the right guy (Burns).

I'm concerned that Bobby Evans could be starting at LG for a while. Not sure if Edwards makes it back this year and when Shelton comes back, does he go back to RG or if Aboushi is out performing Evans do they go with Shelton at LG?

That being posted I would like to see an edge and an Offensive Lineman acquired. I have confidence in Henderson with Williams coming back soon and they can address that position in free agency. Not sure if any OL is available now, but Brian Burns would be great and maybe the Rams could pry away somebody like Matt Hennessy from the Falcons.

  1. Brian Burns...Young and would be a cornerstone moving forward.
  2. Matt Hennessy (Falcons)...Center/Guard from Temple with some upside, maybe send Akers to the Falcons for Hennessy.

Refreshing to hear a name, team and situation that makes some sense.

Hennessey is in his third season but appears to have lost the starting-center job to Drew Dalman after starting all 17 games in 2021.

Dalman was drafted in 2021, a few months after Arthur Smith and Terry Fontenot became Atlanta's head coach and GM; whereas Hennessey was drafted by the prior regime in 2020 (same year as Akers). Maybe the Falcons would like to get something for Hennessey, just as the Rams hope to get something for Akers.

I don't know that Atlanta would have an interest in Akers, with Cordarrelle Patterson and Tyler Allgeier at RB but Matt Hennessey may be the type of young-OL, who was a top-three-round draft choice that has not worked-out and could be available ... like an Austin Corbett.

Prior to the season, I had thrown-out Chicago's Teven Jenkins' name but he has been starting at guard so Jenkins no longer seems like a realistic trade acquisition candidate.

In fairness I recall @jrry32 suggesting his name (Hennessey) a short time ago and I like to give credit, where credit is due.

I would like to see them get help in multiple areas, while not giving up too many picks. OL, Edge, RB or even TE. Not necessarily all of those but even a couple will help.

I just like the name Hennessy so I'll say yeah, let's get Hennessy hahahaha

To all those wanting RB help, would getting CMC be easier to accept if we don't give up crazy draft capital? Only asking as I have no idea if McVay is so enamored by his dual threat game that he's willing to go get him no matter what? Personally I hope he shows constraint if the price is too high. I'd go after Josh Jacobs personally if I could get the Raiders to listen. That dude runs hard and breaks a shit ton of tackles. Plus it gives passing down to Hendo and or the rook. I'd also like us to fit OBJ in somewhere in there, but I knew a long time ago it is would be challenging.

I'd much rather go for Kreem Hunt. Like waaaaay more. But there's variance every year in the NFL and the injury bug fucked us big time. Last year the Von move and OBJ signing made a ton of sense. We were already a great team though. I just hope for this year we keep our draft capital for once. This isn't the last year of our window. Plus the cap will take another decent jump next year. If we trade for someone under contract for a few years I'd be down, but risking a potential one year rental for a 2nd or 3rd is not worth it IMO.
Yeah Hunt has power in his game. He'd be a revelation in this offense, assuming he's fully bought in and all that. But the Rams won't go after a guy like him. I suspect they've got CMC goggles on right now.

Obviously CMC is the pipe dream but realistically I want to see us make an Austin Corbett type trade again for a reclamation project or two on the OL.

My only issue with Sweat is that he's only ever played in a 4-3 (and he'd be pretty big for a 3-4 linebacker, especially since we occasionally drop our linebackers into coverage). Granted, Brian Burns has only ever played in a 4-3, but he fits the mold as a dominant pass-rusher in a 3-4.
I think we still run the 3-4 under though right?

Has anyone seen the Elijah Moore situation brewing in NY? Talk about a guy that would go nuts in this offense. He was ranked top-5 in separation last year per route and is insanely explosive. What the Jets are doing to him right now is criminal and he seems like he wants out.

Elijah Moore just requested a trade. I doubt the Jets will trade him, but I'd sure love for us to get our hands on him if he's available. Deep threat who has great YAC skills. Would be a perfect fit in our offense.

Well, ... that would be giving the finger to OBj. :bomb:

Robert Quinn. He needs to retire a Ram. I miss that sack dance. And once upon a time I had club seats at the dome and was gifted his bobble head....

Here he is with my daughter (who is now 5).

Save our picks. Realistically we're not going to compete for a title with this roster after the injuries and FA losses. Two players wont make a big enough difference. I think for once we should save our picks, get our guys healthy, and try our best to make the playoffs. To me it doesn't make sense to trade a 2nd and a 3rd because it wont get us over the hump.

While I agree that I wouldn’t give up a ton of picks to add someone I disagree with your comment about competing for a title.

-The NFC is wide open and we will start getting some of our injured players back so I expect us to play better

-With the likes of Donald, Ramsey, Kupp, Wagner, Stafford and Jones why should we be thinking of taking a backseat to anyone in the NFC.

-The NFC East doesn’t scare me-especially their QBs in a playoff atmosphere. GB and Tampa look like crap and it looks like neither team can stand their starting QB. The Niners? See Grabmypole and Shanny’s playoff history.

-in my opinion now is the time to go for it. No one in the NFC has our star power or battle tested roster. If we can tweak a couple of pieces without blowing all our picks I see a very realistic road to the Super Bowl if we continue to get our injured players back.
