I get what you're saying. BUT, our Defense has performed pretty stellar with a lackluster EDGE performance. Meanwhile the Rams O had been very lackluster without an elusive RB (and OL). I FEEL like CMC would go further toward us winning than Burns.

Up to now that's been true about our Defense, but the Rams are about to come up against the toughest part of our schedule. While CMC would be an excellent addition, his heath consistency remains a huge factor, and I believe we can do almost as well with a lesser known and much cheaper candidate like D'Ernest Johnson. The fact that Kyren Williams will be returning soon also keeps me from wanting to overpay a top RB at this time. jmo.

I just feel this Offense is one gamer away from being elite again. And CMC would put us there. Also would be able to mask some of our OL deficiency.

Also I have to admit that CMC going to the 9ers is terrifying. Nobody knows how to use a RB like Shanny.

I'm looking at this more in the long term, quality young Edge rushers are extremely difficult to find outside of the very early rounds, someone like Burns might come around about as much as ... Von Miller, very rarely. CMC could be great if he remains healthy, but like last year, we didn't really require a horse of his nature to take us to the promised land. jmo.

For me… RB feels a must. If we trade Akers, we have to get a RB.

I would also love a Corbett like trade. It’s only week 7 and we are razor thin.

What about his contract ? If your talking Austin coming Back. The first trade from Cleveland worked out well.

I don’t know who this Rivers RB is,but he had a real nice run towards the goal line last Sunday.

Kolone played hard, but got exposed.IMO to see The Rams develop players & compete is all I want. Watch Ben Sko score his first TD & Jalen now coming off the Edge are exciting plays to see. Robinson & Van Jefferson playing well together.

I like HENDO playing well. I still LMAO about Malcom Brown. Made the statement he was a nice addition coming back to The Rams.Never have been a Jake Funk fan because of his lack of ability as a RB & even a KR guy. That in itself is a plus.Just funny how a poster said we hear at ROD had as much of a chance of playing. WOW! Still lol about that one.

I drink the KOOL-AIDE, there are times weather you do or don’t have to be realistic.

I think outside the first game the D is playing well enough and they are getting some reinforcements back, I think that puts them at a lower priority. When is Hardy coming back?

OL has been a disaster because of injuries and who knows if we are done with that calamity. A solid IOL would be a smart target but I’m not sure who might be available or if the FO and McVay have seen the light when it comes to the importance of the OL.

CMC has his warts but some of that has come from over use on a shitty team. If the Rams go after him I think they would treat him better and he would be a great addition. I would want to restructure to keep him for at least two more years. And I damn sure don’t want him going to SF.
Given the Rams jinx at RB, and CMC's injury record, I would stay away from him. Go bargain hunting at RB

We need a running back, but to get a top RB I think is a luxury we don't need. Any trade that isn't for edge should be to shore the position up. The only thing that really slows down a high flying Offense is getting in the face of the QB. If it isn't edge than the next best thing would be another great CB so we can give the front time to get there and blitz a lot more.

Given time, we may just find that our next great CB is already on our team.

Not talking about him coming back. I would love that, but it is not a real scenario.

I like HENDO playing well.

Put me FIRMLY IN the Henderson camp. That said… He is best used in complimentary, IMO… but he should be and is the starter on THIS Rams team.

MB feels like a thing that won’t last, unless he sticks as the last RB on the depth chart. I love MB but he is 29. As a semi power decent speed guy, 29 is up there at RB.

I root for all Rams like you but Funk always felt fringe to me.

Understanding Akers is likely gone, I want an RB. But count me as someone who isn't at all interested in a high-cost (i.e. CMC) RB. We've been down that path and I have no interest in repeating the inevitable decline.

I don’t believe in jinx or karma.

The Rams have had plenty of great RBs including the guy who holds the single season rushing record.

We need a guard that is a road grader. That's my #1 priority.

2nd move would be for an edge.

We can grab a RB off someone's practice squad.

When snakebit, jinx or karma would be the last thing on my mind. Give me health or get me in the whirlpool, quick.

Your #1 priority seems highly improbable until we get back to drafting.

Your #2 appears doable if the Rams are willing to make some pretty big sacrifices.

Your #3 we've done already with both Rivers & Brown, and yes it could go down again, but I believe there are some better RB's that might be had by trade without giving up the bank.
jmo.

I'd like to see us address two problems: (1) a playmaker at HB and (2) an EDGE who can improve the pass rush. Aside from Christian McCaffrey, I think the two best options are Kareem Hunt and Robert Quinn.
