The best coaching decision was not ruining Marcus Peters' confidence by putting him on Hill. Sam Shields took one for the team.
I disagree here, Shields is the fastest DB we have hence that choice, Peters played well yesterday.

I'm with you on that Mine game, if they'd have beaten us the W/L records of both teams could be very different - I think when you play lights out like the Rams and Vikings did in that game to come up second best can really derail your confidence going forward and vice versa to the winners. The same with this game last night, it could knock Mahomes confidence moving forward, 3 INTs 2 D scores against them, that's where the game was won and lost if you ask me.
It’s this time of year the chiefs crumble....as long as they have Hill (that guy could give away half his speed and still be faster than anyone he goes up against) they’ll be good

Their offense is very back yard football to me .. the RPO only works so long till it’s figured out .. it’s why it isn’t widespread in the League

It has no bearing on the rams but I hope they have a few more losses to crack at their confidence .. because I couldn’t handle a game like last night again especially in the super bowl

I guess I don't see the disagreement. Normally teams just put the number 1 corner on the number 1 receiver regardless of the match up. Putting Sam Shields out there was the better option, but it still was a lose-lose scenario for him.

what did I learn from week 11?

That Steven A Smith has the most punchable face on TV.

I got tired of the NFLN crew after about the 3rd or 4th loop so I turned on ESPN and Smith was flapping his gums about how the Rams looked worse last night because of the points the Chiefs scored. Then he got on Drew Breese's jock for about a 5 minute rant before I changed the channel.

My list of punchable faces

1a)Pete Carrol
1b) Steven A
1c) Brady/Belechik

after that it doesnt matter anymore

What I learned after last night. Goff is a baller. KC put a lot of pressure on him all night, way more than any other team had been able to and he stayed in the pocket and took the beating. Rams pass D, well they can cover downfield afterall. Of course I'm just talking about the last two possession KC had. Those two INT I have no idea who Mahomes was trying to throw to. I didn't see anyone open. Pressure I guess.

I think our D and the 2 scores against him rattled the guy, he was pushing it and it failed

I learned that Les, Wade, and Sean need to tailor the roster toward beating the Chiefs, because if the Rams reach the Super Bowl multiple times in the next few years, the Chiefs are likely to be the team they’ll be facing.

The days of bigger DTs being first round picks is dwindling. If they can’t get to the QB they won’t be nearly as important.

The Rams still have trouble covering the TE.

Tyreek Hill is uncoverable with one man.

Sam Shields is still trying to get back to what he once was.

The Rams CB depth is not as good as it needs to be.

I think you're right on the DT point, the game is changing, you don't need a behemoth of a space eating DT anymore...

That we just beat the best team in the AFC without this man, and the rest of the league better get it straight that we are not giving up these sort of yards in the air again, once this man is back!

I forgot to mention my favourite bit of the game was when Havenstein flattened one of the KC defenders - was pure pancake joy

That play is the type that will have the whole team rockin and rollin during film review. Hit him with such force he looked like a rag doll. :rolllaugh:

Goff is a baller. KC put a lot of pressure on him all night, way more than any other team had been able to and he stayed in the pocket and took the beating.

The lack of a run game due to what KC was doing makes his final stat line all the more impressive. I was very glad McVay put the game in his hands.

I learned that my boss was right again. He said that they will not over work Gurley in this game even if they were behind. He thought McVay would value keeping Gurley fresh over home field advantage.

I learned that the Coliseum field sucks even when USC doesn't have a home game that week.

I really hope they get the field right in the new stadium.

When Zuerlein missed the XP and then had a short kick off, I was thinking his injury may be acting up again.

But then on another kickoff, Zuerlein slipped and fell down right when he kicked the ball.

I don't think he was ever getting good footing when trying to do kickoffs.
