No, I'm saying that right now the team that has the best chance is the Saints. Only 1 team that gave up more than 25 points per game during the season has every won the Super Bowl. And right now the Rams and Chiefs are over that figure. Not saying it can't happen, but it is not likely too.

This is true however... we play the Lions 49ners, Cardinals and Bears and Talib is coming back.

I totally expect our ppg to drop on defense.

Hekker is better than Ray Guy.
A truer statement has never been said!
Guy used to boom kicks that sometimes hit dome roofs, and was a worry in a Super Bowl hosted in new Orleans.....I love me some Hekker, but am not so sure to say that he is automatically better than Ray Guy. I remember marveling at what he could do, and I was no Raider fan.

Loyal is the point to hit a dome or kick a 68 yarder to flip the field and win the game for your team?

Hekker holds practically every punting record there is after BREAKING HIS OWN RECORDS!

Ray Guy is a mere mortal..

Johnny Hekker is a Special Teams God!!

A couple of draw plays and actually running the jet sweep would force a team out of that front I think.

In that situation and looking at those stills they clearly expected to see #30 get the ball so McVay decided to pass. Or Goff did. I think he has a run play and pass play choice available to him.

Nice job on the screen shots and explanation too!

Shoot...I like the idea of putting Malcolm Brown and Gurley in as split backs.

They’ll definitely still go heavy, but you can spread out the LBers that way. You can also split one, or both, backs out wide and have favorable mismatches!

Alas they stuck with the formation we love so much. It still almost worked.

The other thing Seattle has been a good amount of lately...6 lineman. Get Noteboom some work. Lol.

I would like to see our D slow down a good offense once. Not shut them down, slow down. I still think defense wins champios. But what do I know.

An increase of @6 pts/game from last year to this year is significant. That is a 15% increase from last year. This is more by design than by chance. Each year rule changes protect offensive players more and more. It also appears that the subjective enforcement of certain rules (such as offensive holding) also contributes to the success of offenses. Fans, league leaders, owners all appear to support high scoring but close games. As a result this is the new NFL that has been building over the years and has become very evident this year.
