OK. I got bored so last one with you.
It's ALL speculation. From this fan AND the non-Rams team sources reported by Russini. Again she said
other teams believed. Not as a fact from someone
with the Rams.
This is unless one truly believes that the Rams organization is dumb enough to let if be known to other teams their targeted player which from what I understand teams don't typically do. Why? Because it would be a boneheaded move strategically as another team could trade up ahead or compete with you for said player if they found out.
And a team or teams believing something doesn't necessarily make it more likely or true. Over the years there have been other post draft articles of teams trading up to get ahead of teams that they believed were targeting a player they weren't even targeting. Shoot even last year, the Eagles thought the Rams were targeting the Iowa CB when they traded up for Fiske. Pre-Draft Lying or Smoke Screen Season isn't for the media or fans. It's to throw off the other drafting teams.
BTW, here's another report from Rapoport

Perhaps the Rams are included with these teams. Maybe they weren't. No one knows but the Rams and those teams. But notice he says teams. Has everything leaked out regarding
each of the teams Rapoport says tried to trade up? If not, does that doesn't mean it didn't happen with those teams?
I think I've made this point before, but contrary to what may be popular belief, there are things that go on in NFL Offices that we don't know or will ever hear about which leads to speculation from everyone outside of that organization.
