I'm reading the Cowboys forum with that super optimistic breakdown (the one that basically treated us like we were a 3-13 team). Some of the excuses are pretty hilarious. Here's a good one (in a thread titled "Why We Lost"):
"The Rams holding every freaking play has a little to do with it.

The long td run by Gurley... Heath was being held by his facemask and shoulder by Whitworth...unreal no call there."

Here's another lol:
"Not much of a 'refs screwed us guy'

But easy to dominate when you just offsides and hold all of the time"

Right, because AD wasn’t literally held in EVERY DANG PLAY!!!

But ya know...

I’ve noticed the refs are letting more false starts go from the OTs for the last 6-8 weeks now.

My buddy Alfred a long time Cowboy fan said this. The O.L was creating crazy push and huge holes. Our (Dallas) LB's could not get off their blocks and the better team won. Congratulations to the Rams

The most blatant holding committed by the Rams that I saw was when they intentionally held the Zekemeister short of the sticks on that most important 4th and 1...It was obvious...

We won. Let's be classy. We all know the pain of losing.
I would hope to see our Cowboy fan friend show up tomorrow with a gracious concession. Too much to ask of a fan to post immediately after a playoff loss.

Speaking of Tony Romo, he's my absolute favorite NFL announcer now. Didn't see that coming.

Btw my pastor is a Cowboys fanatic. His wife tells me her and their boys leave the house whenever a Cowboys game is on. I bet they'll be some need for repentance by him after the game Saturday night.

question about this play.

I saw Westbrooks strip the ball and come out of the pile (pretty sure it was before the whistle blew) with a clear run to the EZ. Why wasnt it ruled a fumblle and why didnt he take it in for 6?

The play had just been called dead due to lack of forward progress.

Initially I thought the same thing, but yeah, the play was blown dead before Westbrook’s got the strip.

That dak sure is a great qb, he wasnt a first round pick for a reason.

Our team did a great job containing him in the pocket, he looked pretty bad at times

The reason for the blatant hold on 4th and 1 was part strategy:

Open the hole at all costs. Holding is fine. If you hold and it doesn’t get called, it’s a score. If it’s called, it’s a 10 yard penalty and a FG. Either way we go up 2 scores.

What the Cowboys defensively do very well is get great pressure with their front without having to blitz. They can collapse the pocket up the middle like no ones business. The rush of the edge from Gregory and Lawerence is incredibly quick which will have Goff having to make very quick decisions. Because the cowboys linebackers are so fast and very good in coverage that can read and react to the play incredibly fast. What makes this all go so well is the way our DB's are coached by Kris Richard. They are taught to be very physical and play man to man much of the game because of their speed and physical coverage ability. How do you think the Cowboys were able to stifle Drew Brees? They simply suffocated them and gave them very few options.

I have mad respect for Gurley, but running I don't think the Rams will make a living off the run in this game so they will have to hope he matches up well with our linebackers on dump offs and screens. Either way, you have a better head coach when it comes to game planning for sure, but I have never seen a team play as hard for a coach as I have the Cowboys when it comes to Garrett.
What happened to this guy...anyone read him since him since???

I have two words for him:

SAY WHAT???

Rams fans are good winners and classy people (for the most part) and I mean that sincerely. I was on the packed metro train last night after the game and we didn't rub it in the Cowboys fans faces. No chants of "who's house" or "mama don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys", just a mutual respect. You could tell they were crushed. I had one guy tell me we better win the superbowl now. Unlike the Bills fans or Eagles fans on the metro, being completely obnoxious fans doing chants and songs and acting like they haven't been there before. Cowboys fans were actually pretty nice people and I had no hassles or problems being around a ton of them. Scoreboard Rams!. That's all that matters.

Saw them live last year. The studio version doesn't do it justice. The mixer recorded the track with too much growl. Draiman eases off of it live, sounds so much better.
