We'll live with it, and the Lombardi..let the bitches snivel like losers. No matter what happens in the Super Bowl, that non-call will never go away. You will see it for years to come. Just like when Drew Pearson pushed off in MN years ago. It will forever be talked about. Get used to it.
Some people will forever claim you didn't deserve to go. Mostly Saints fans. Just the way it is.We'll live with it, and the Lombardi..let the bitches snivel like losers.
Then they have selective memories and choose to hang their hat on the one call, when they choked a 13 point lead and had non calls for face mask penalties, some of which cost us points. THEY had the homefield advantage and had the opportunity to blow us out, but they didn't. They are not better than us, they just cry louder than us.Some people will forever claim you didn't deserve to go. Mostly Saints fans. Just the way it is.
I hate the terrible no-call. Want the victory fair and square. Due to no fault of the Rams it's now feels like a tainted victory. I hate it.

Agreed. Excellent observations. Now, see if you can convince Stephen A tomorrow on his coast-to-coast talk how airing on ESPN radio and TV. He picked the Saints; he's the anti-Ram. And let's not forget Colin Cowherd though he's not quite as vociferous or vindictive as Stephen A.It's not up to us.
If it was fair and square from the beginning, the game would have been in LA.
If it was fair and square from the beginning, the NO player would have been ejected for that running stomp on the head of the grounded Ram runner along with a 15 yard penalty. You KNOW if it was Suh coming in late on a play and he jumped up and his foot landed on an opposing player's helmet, it would have been front page news in Katmandu...
If it was fair and square from the beginning, they would have called the face masks.
If it was fair and square from the beginning, they would have called all of the delays of game, mostly on NO.
We don't call the games and we have to live with the decisions be they fair or not as do the teams.
Funny, I didn't hear any NO fans or players talking about the Hekker first down which would have almost certainly put the game in LA.
Didn't hear about any of the non-calls that went for NO in a big way, especially early.
Of course, I'd rather they get every call right, every time, with the proper time keeping and the exact spot being correct every time.
But... things get screwed up and I don't think people understand exactly how fast all this stuff happens. It's wicked fast. At game speed, I also thought it was genuinely a bang-bang play.
And here's the BOTTOM LINE: The Saints had the ball first with the opportunity to END THE GAME and obviate any controversy. The Pats sure got the ball first in OT and ended it, never letting Mahomes even sniff the OT.
So I have no patience with all this focus on ONE non-call when a) there was a boatload and most did NOT favor the Rams and b) the Saints still had control over their own destiny and fate and were outplayed in OT.
THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE.
All the rest is distraction.
I know it's been said already, but the missed facemask on Goff was a HUGE missed call on the previous drive. It doesn't make it less important just because there was more time on the clock than when the missed PI occurred. During the replay, even Aikman said, "There's a facemask" in a sarcastic tone, insinuating the refs missed an obvious call. Goff scrambled to the 2 yard line. If they call it, it's first and goal at the 1 and our team probably goes up by 4.
Yeah, he's never gotten over losing to Montana and the Niners in the 1988 Super Bowl. Betcha it keeps him up all night. BTW--I believe the other Studio hosts disagreed vehemently.Boomer Esiasan is an arrogant dope. Says Rams should not be going to Superbowl. Yeah, Saints didn't have any other chances to win it. He will cry about this forever.

Weird part is we keep mentioning it but people that get paid well might I add to watch these games have not brought any of that up at all. Forgetting all the other class cooks face mask play clock twice etc....but someone please mention the goff facemask ...please do your jobs man!!!
