Buffalo draws a packed stadium every week and shows what home field advantage looks like.
The squatters get better crowds than the reigning world champs against their arch rivals.
This is a peripheral problem when compared to the poor game plan, execution and injuries. But, it’s a proble
Yea, but also, nobody moves TO Buffalo. So almost all Football fans in Buffalo are bills fans. And there isn't much else to do there. Contrast that with a place like LA. First off, millions more transplants, that bring their fandom of another team with them.
Ima be honest and I hope I dont get flamed for this...
But from my perspective of the history of Rams...alot of people associate the Rams fanbase with old white guys. Reason being is that when the Rams left for Anaheim in the 80s, there was the perception (im not a cali native so speaking anecdotally) that Anaheim was the White Suburbs.
Contrast this with the Raiders, who became the poster child for the Black community (and the at time growing hispanic population) of Los Angeles and got a huge boost in popularity when they became the de facto sports team of NWA and the Los Angeles Hip Hop scene.
Why this matters is, upon relocation to Los Angeles (on top of LA already being contested battle space with different teams)...The fanbase (of older white men and their kids) who were the Rams primary fanbase, isnt the main demographic in LA anymore.
So on top of the overinflated ticket prices, the gentrification of Inglewood, the contested battlespace of LA as a NFL market, and the overall laissez-faire attitude of West Coast fandoms, youre dealing with a demographic that grew up Raiders, Cowboys, and Niners fans and at best saw the Rams as the "old white guy team" and at worst, the traitors who left for St. Louis. Thats why, even after a SB win, the Rams are IMO not as popular they should be.
