Vent Thread: Whiners at Rams

I don’t have too much to vent about.
The Oline is sooooooo much better than last year.
Puka, Avila, Young and Turner look like studs… and, my God… the leg on Evans.
Team fought hard.. I couldn’t see any major scheme problems… but the did get away from the run in the second half.

Every game I see Alaric Jackson, he just looks like a solid LT. Just a huge positive.

I know people on here are skeptical, but I think Jonathan Taylor makes this a playoff team.

Oh, Hoecht had a decent game, I thought.

Yeah Jefferson needs to be gone. Puka and Tutu have surpassed him. He just makes too many mental errors for a vet.

I will say, if we end up trading every other player on our team... will we have a team?

Held them to 2-9 on 3rd down. That Williams drop and resulting INT was the biggest play in the game. Really unfortunate.

That was definitely the turning point of the game. Can't make those mistakes against good teams. We'll learn

Hoecht's best game IMO I said in the chat that he actually set the edge twice in run defense it was amazing.

Jackson has been good in pass pro but has room to grow in run blocking, I still would be ok with a LT next year in the draft but he's serviceable with room to grow for sure.

Well thanks to the fact that Noteboom can't be trusted to stay fucking healthy we're right back to where we were at RG and not knowing what we have really. There was dropoff to Anchrum but that doesn't mean it will stay that way. It's gonna be up to him to improve. So there's still a chance we get that job settled but 4/5 of the OL are good. If Anchrum improves we're good. If Boom returns we're good. Well for a game or so before he gets hurt again.

From just a cursory glance at Anchrum, he wasn't being overpowered or out quicked, he wasn't assignment sound it seemed. I think there's a decent chance that can be fixed if he needs to start for awhile and gets the reps in practice.

Yeah they were pretty poor. And I think maybe one or two went against SF but they were missing shit the whiners were doing while being ticky tack with us which felt bad.

We could go after Jonathan Taylor. He'll possibly be cheaper draft compensation wise but of course there's the contract. Either way, we have pretty dolid talent on offense especially when Kupp comes back.

Well Van is just one player. I think he's just a JAG and the Akers thing, I have no real clue what happened there.

Really hard for me to get all "venty" even though I'm well aware of all the issues and mistakes that doomed us in this game, there was so much to like that was a repeat of week one (and for me, consistency from week 1 to 2 was the thing I wanted to see most) that I think a lot of the stuff we have an issue with can get corrected.

And we did this against one of the top 3 teams in the NFC.

(Well, there could be an issue at depth at RB and what's gonna happen at outside CB, but that's a different post).

The other huge huge play no one is talking about is at the end of the half. One more second goes off the clock on that 3rd down pass and half is over and we are up 17-10. Niners got very lucky.

I’d eventually offer them Van, Cam, and a 5th and a 7th.

Have to pay him, injury history, will have him for only 3/4 of a season Id use as leverage, which I’m sure Snead will do in negotiations.

Yeah it seems like Windell has them playing in sync and as a unit, and that’s what we lost more than anything. Then again Anchrum got a lot of practice snaps with the ones this off, so who knows.

I am proud of the Rams. Everybody wrote us off as though we are rebuilding and sucking for Caleb Williams, NOT!!!!

The Rams can hang and go toe-to-toe against a stacked 69er team.

The 69ers are not that dominant as the BSPN pundits made them out to be.

Next time at the dumpster Levi Stadium, the Rams will win.

wow that game showed we can play with anyone. still there are couple things i would like to see. number one is it would be nice if we had a short yardage play with stafford under center so the defense has to worry about a sneak also i don't understand moving the running back up to just behind the ol than blocking no one would they be better off keeping him back to pick up those free blitzers. does mcvay need to hire someone who is to watch for plays that should be challenged. there is no doubt that getting kupp back will make it hard for defenses to cover everyone, but we have to remember that he will take catches from atwell and puka. oh well i am really pleased with how good we have looked and i think we will make the play offs and maybe more
