9ers got very lucky today. Several drives in a row where the Rams assisted them in stopping our offense. And I think this game result is perfect for this team too. Because they're gonna be fucking pissed. They're gonna get back to work and fine tune shit. And they will look forward to playing the shitters again in their house and maybe causing them some seeding problems.

We have a good team. Probably not a great team but they should be in the playoff mix. This is a real blessing. Did not expect this quality of a team and I'm proud of them. :thumbsup1:

Not quite ready to change my prediction to playoff mix team but agree with a lot here. Even with the lose, I have been impressed with this team more than I thought I would through 2 games.

Really curious to see where they are after 4 games.

I’m sorry.. but without a real run game, this team is in trouble, imo.

Kyren is a nice player & 3rd down back.. they need someone who can do damage between the tackles and rip off long runs once in a while.

I don’t think the offense can sustain being one dimensional like it was in second half.

the 49ners were playing 8-9 in the box first half... in the end half they were blitzing up the middle 2/3 snaps

the way they were playing us dictated play calling.. basically they thought they could load up on the run and we couldnt make them pay down the field.

We were moving the ball all over the place on them until we imploded and they also (as i said earlier) started blitzing a lot the 2nd half.

I do agree however that we need another real threat at running back.

Well thanks to the fact that Noteboom can't be trusted to stay fucking healthy we're right back to where we were at RG and not knowing what we have really. There was dropoff to Anchrum but that doesn't mean it will stay that way. It's gonna be up to him to improve. So there's still a chance we get that job settled but 4/5 of the OL are good. If Anchrum improves we're good. If Boom returns we're good. Well for a game or so before he gets hurt again.

But we have an offense that looks eerily like the Super Bowl run offense. Which is to say capable of sustaining long and punishing drives on opponents. Even if they go with Anchrum the rest of the way and he's iffy, we'll still be a better than average offense. And the defense was solid in coverage all day. Rat Boy is gonna get his schemed up shots a few times a game and they'll gash you here and there on a run, but overall this defense almost helped us beat what everyone thinks is the best team in the league.

Rams are a good team. If you're sweating your non-playoff opinion right now you're wasting your time. This is certainly a wildcard level challenger. We're just gonna need injuries to favor us but we already knew that.

Frustrating game because it was so winnable. We had to seize the game by the throat when we had the momentum. We didn't and it cost us. But it is hard to say the 49ers were not deserving. How many easy TDs did Purdy miss? The 49ers were the better team.

The unforced errors cost us. The INT off Williams' hands. Tutu running the wrong route on a would-be touch down. Van Jefferson's lazy route leading to a pick. You can't beat teams as good as the 49ers with those kind of errors. With Tutu, hopefully it is just a growing pain as he continues to pickup the offense.

The refs were awful. Did the 49ers even get a single flag before the game was already decided? Tons of holds uncalled. And only the Rams DBs were flagged on tight, borderline coverage.

We still can't tackle vs. the 49ers.

Nacua looks incredible.

Stafford looks amazing but we need to keep him clean. The pass protection was way worse after Noteboom went down. Hopefully, he is okay. If not, once Anchrum gets more reps to acclimate, and the new o-line unit can gel, I am cautiously optimistic the drop off will not be steep. But any other injuries and our depth will really be tested.

We need better run blocking, with or without Noteboom.

Not sure Maher is the answer at kicker.... but the other options out there are not inspiring.

Williams looks very good but he is not a 3 down back. Spot duty today was fine given the emergency circumstances but we need another option ASAP. Rivers is not the answer IMO. If the coaching staff does not feel confident in Evans as a rookie, then I'd ideally like to bring in an experienced bruiser to compliment Williams' style of play and balance the offence's general youth. Fournette fits the bill IMO. If Tom Brady trusted him, that says enough for me. He can also pass block and catch. Tampa's o-line was awful last year so I think he stats don't tell the whole story. I suspect he still has enough gas in the tank to be a 1 year stop gap as part of a committee.

Great showing by the Rams! Very proud of them.Puka was the absolute steal of the draft! OMG! His off the chart talent is going to help keep Coach McVay around for a long time. On to the Bengals!

.

Those fucking refs really grinded my gears today. Horrible and were intent on the whiners winning.

What didn't the coaches see on the Dumbo fumble?

Williams is too slow. Looks like a turtle in the open field. So stupid cam and McVay can't work together.

Noteboom injured again. You kidding me? Gotta stay on the field.

Yeah, if the broadcast analysis was correct, that INT was on Jefferson and not Stafford.

I didn't have big expectations that Jefferson could take a leap and be more than what he could be but I was expecting a ting more improvement.
Yeah Jefferson needs to be gone. Puka and Tutu have surpassed him. He just makes too many mental errors for a vet.

We could go after Jonathan Taylor. He'll possibly be cheaper draft compensation wise but of course there's the contract. Either way, we have pretty dolid talent on offense especially when Kupp comes back.

Hoping that huge comeback win really hypes up the Giants because they play the Whiners on TNF in four days.
The whiners may be short a few players Thursday as aiyuk and dweebo both appeared to get dinged today.

Yeah they were pretty poor. And I think maybe one or two went against SF but they were missing shit the whiners were doing while being ticky tack with us which felt bad.

@jrry32 probably has some broken furniture in his house. :laugh4:

Sorry, but I can't vent too much because I didn't expect a win and am impressed that the kept it close.

I would like this team's chances more this season if they could develop some sort of rushing attack. If Noteboom is out for some time I hope Dotson is ready to step in at RG so they can move people and run the ball.

Derion Kendrick? I just don't understand. I guess his enthusiasm and size has locked him into a starting role.

I think we can all agree that with a healthy OL and more time for them to get better at run blocking, which takes snaps, and Kupp healthy we're a pretty damn good team. A really good pass rusher opposite Young would be great too but unfortunately that's likely to have to come next year.

The other huge huge play no one is talking about is at the end of the half. One more second goes off the clock on that 3rd down pass and half is over and we are up 17-10. Niners got very lucky.

That BS penalty on the face mask against DK too. They also stopped the clock very fast to give them another second. The refs absolutely helped the shitstain all stars a lot today.
