once kupp comes back jefferson is going to barely see the field

we had this one our way until the end of the half defensive laps and the kyren williams tip int...

we lost all our momentum after that.

This game was there for the taking and while it sucks to lose, its a far cry from where some had this team. The o-line suffered greatly after Noteboom went out and the 9ers catch every damn break.

We lost when Noteboom went down though, offense never was the same after. How that must really upset some people :D
I have noticed you find it sport to poke at people, I hope it is providing the desired result. We need some leadership from the longer term and more active posters on this board. Things are a bit off from past seasons in regards to the general ethos we usually try to live up to.

I thought we showed a lot of promise on both sides of the ball. We certainly need do do better at making opposing QB's uncomfortable but after 2 weeks I see this team as better than one may expect

Not really much to vent about aside from shitty refs. This team was expected to be a bottom 5-10. If they play the Niners that close they can play any team close.

The Niners were healthy. The Rams were without Kupp. Maybe we win with Cooper on the field.

I am proud of the Rams. Everybody wrote us off as though we are rebuilding and sucking for Caleb Williams, NOT!!!!

The Rams can hang and go toe-to-toe against a stacked 69er team.

The 69ers are not that dominant as the BSPN pundits made them out to be.

Next time at the dumpster Levi Stadium, the Rams will win.
Some of us optimistic fans were hoping for a good team by midseason. But this is almost like Christmas in July. These kids battle and they will win more games in 2023 than a majority of Ram fans and pundits predicted. By a comfortable margin. I believe many people need to adjust their predictions. Rams football has become fun to watch again.

Another bright side…Stafford seems more mobile than he’s been in a couple years. He’s been elusive in the pocket and had some nice scrambles thru two weeks.

Not furious like I have been in the last several losses to these guys were we played like shit and played right into their hands. They got a lot of very timely assists from the refs today (DIE YOU COCKSUCKERS, DIE A LONG, SLOW, HORRIBLE, PAINFUL DEATH).

McVay DID fuck-up on not challenging that fumble - it was pretty clear that the ball came out before Deebo was down. That would have been a big momentum swing, giving us the ball right near the red zone. Not sure what he was thinking.

To those I argued with on the "Trade Van Jefferson" thread during this offseason, in defense of Van, please accept my apologies - you were right. A couple of critical drops today and Stafford's second pick was because Van ran the wrong route. When Kupp comes back, I expect Van to move to WR4, WR5, or lower ... and if someone wants to trade for him, we should listen.

I'm still not buying the legend of Brock Purdy. He looks good when he has all fucking day to throw, but on the few times we pressured him he looked like fucking spazz. He also Garrapaloed two deep balls to wide open guys when he had time.

Not happy with TuTu not running the right route that cost us a TD, but not going to throw him under the bus because he has developed into a quality WR. He just needs experience. Also, I want whoever the ref was who decided that was intentional grounding by Stafford to get ass raped by Satan's barbed DNA rifle. What a fucking terrible call.

Puka ... wow. Completely proves that last week's performance wasn't a mirage, does it again against a much better D. And he did it dinged up too. NFL defenses, you are on notice - when we get Kupp back and he's on the field with Puka, you are FUCKED.

Also not gonna throw Kyren under the bus for the first Stafford INT, but he does have to do better obviously. But he's a better runner than Cam and he's more versatile. But we could use more depth. Maybe next week is time to call up Evans.

Raheem needs to do better dialing up pressure. And I want to see Tomlinson get some looks too.

Right now, there are two guys on our offense - Cam and VJ - who I would happily trade. If there is an edge rusher out there - and I'll be realistic, it doesn't have to be someone great, just someone better than Hoecht - we should look at swinging a deal for them.

If there is a silver lining in this cloud, it's that this team really is for real. They pushed those cocksuckers from Norcal to the limit and made them have to get timely ref assistance to put them over the top. This team is a good team and we can be at least a playoff team while getting a lot of young guys a lot of experience. Today was about growing pains, but we learned some valuable lessons.

Onto the Bengals.

So should I shit on players instead of laugh at my fellow Rams fans? I find it interesting that there are only complaints about Noteboom and not anybody else posting how he's been very good in two games until he got hurt today.

Van Jefferson had a bad drop and an amazing catch, that was negated by a Rams penalty, that he was about to get murdered on because there were two niners there ready to do their normal head hunt.

If me poking fun at people is the biggest problem on this board or in Rams fandom then I'll accept that, though I think there are much bigger issues at large.

I think aside from one injury and a few mistakes and some terrible officiating this was a good performance from the Rams. I'm content with that and look forward to next week in primetime.

I predicted 9 wins and I think I was underselling them....

Four quick observations; and I watched it with the sound-off, so I don't know if there were any relevant comments.

The interception off Williams' hands was a huge play but it's tough to be down on him based on how he played the past two games.

Anchrum let Warner go on the huge sack. He wasn't beaten. He didn't try to pick Warner up. If Noteboom is out, I hope it's Dotson at RG.

On the 2nd interception, it looked to me that Jefferson rounded-out the route, instead of coming flat; and that allowed the cornerback to make the play. That was really sloppy route-running.

And, for the life of me, I can't figure out what the Rams' coaches see in Derion Kendrick. There's nothing I like about him; and his lack of aggressiveness in tackling makes me crazy (I mean, more than normal). Would much rather see Tomlinson and Shelley out there, with Witherspoon and Durant.
