I thoght the Higbee touchdown should have counted, Roughing the passer when AD99 BARELY pushed him after the pass was thrown was complete bullshit, And there was a few bad bad calls.... Even Al Michaels said it was a badly called game!! IMO if that AD roughing bullshit wasn't called, we would have won the game. On to the Whiners!! GO RAMS!!

Yup. Our defense came to play. A mixture of a poor offensive performance in the beginning and refs who apparently had money on the Titans changed the game completely.

David Edwards had by far his worst game of the year AND the Titans mercilessly went after him. I don’t think the entire OL was trash, but it crumbled adjusting to Edwards just getting bullied last game.

I'm not qualified to know if making adjustments to shore up middle of line was completely ignored (as Rex Ryan claims), but I do know SOMETHING needed to happen on the PLAYCALLING choices.

As far as adjusting to shore up the middle, if you look at that ill-fated interception that started our meltdown, our OL collapsed to the middle, and the pressure came from a twist around the left end, untouched.

Yeah Big Ed getting trucked like he did was a surprise to me. He's usually really strong with the power rushers. The line as a whole was pretty bad though and when that happens it's like a chain reaction with everyone trying to do more instead of just their job.

One thing about those delayed stunts is that they require good coverage to pull off. Stafford missed some open guys but some of him holding the ball is due to early reads not being there so we gotta give cred to the Titans. I think if 9 plays a sharp game we win so he was a lot of the difference with the turnovers but truth is even the best QBs can look bad when a defense trucks the protections.

To my eye the difference between the great ones and the middle of the pack guys is how often that happens. 9's been really good but maybe this is a healthy loss for him and the line and McVay as well. I'd rather see a game like this vs the Titans than SF. So hope the Rams come out fuckin pissed vs SF this weekend.

Re: the defense... I don't know what's going on with Williams but he just looks like a different corner. Rams had pretty good penetration up front last night too defensively but when you allow a completion in a half fucking second after the snap you're doing it wrong in terms of not complementing what you have up front. So frustrating sigh.

But anyway I'm past this one already and a good ass kicking of SF would do wonders to put this in the rearview.

Whitworth in a postgame interview basically cited downfield coverage by the Titans and Stafford holding the ball too long as the problem. Pretty blunt analysis. AW admitted to some line mistakes but also pointed out the good run blocking.

Sometimes I wish Ramsey would just play football. Love him as a player, but I don't go for the showboating after every tackle. Interceptions OK.. but not ALL THE TIME. JMO.

I find AW to be a standup guy and a loud voice of reason. Where McVay might take too much of the blame for his guys, AW is fine with saying it's about the team and other folks need to play better too. In this case, everyone knows the Stafford meltdown in a span of a couple plays were the story of the game. Any chances to come back seemed to be offset by horrible refs, great D scheme/plays, and lucky tipped passes by DL not even looking at QB.

We're way overdue, for a good Whiner stew...

Stafford, like Wentz plays, "hero ball". Bad habit from being in Detroit and everything being on him. He has to learn to manage a game and understand his defense can help win a game or next drive he can comeback and make a play.

That was really bad last night because his miscues were the diff in the game.
I go by what Drew Brees said about the turnovers. It cost them in the first half & can’t happen.Just get rid of the ball.Seems easy enough to me.
Basic concepts should be a mindset built in.I mean just as in anything like getting into a car.Out on your seat belt.
In red zone - don’t take a sack out of FG range.
3rd down get past the marker & give yourself an extra yard.
Now the clock without a TO late in game or half.Get rid of ball,

—Goff is 0 & ? but he was good in a lot of ways.I like him more times than not & he was good in game management.I always felt he kept The Rams in games.
That TD pick 6 was just a bad mind fart, which I see until late.Knew he just threw one basically,

what a trash article.. that picture is horrible...

Ramsey fell over and stood up and accidently bumped into Brown - even tried to help him up.

Brown is just mad because he played like shit dropped 3 passes.

I have faith in Stafford. I truly do. I think he can figure stuff out and how to play under pressure in big games. This game will be the first learning lesson. Against Zona he was just erratic with no pressure. Tonight was a different beast. WR's covered Simmons destroying the pocket. As Brees so pointedly said, when the Oline cant hold up and the WR's are covered, throw the ball away. A sack can be a drive killer vs a good defense and The interceptions were careless. It happens to the best, the very best. It was my point with Goff. Sometimes really good QB's don't play good football when the defense is on their game. Hell look at Mahomes. Did he just stop caring about football? No. He has an Oline in transition. Thing about Goff is he elevated his game vs the Saints when everything fell apart. Including Gurely. The elevation wasn't 80 yard bombs. The elevation was ball control and managing the game until he could choose his spots at the end and move the team in position for the tying FG and also the game winner.

Mcvay was too slow to adjust in this game as mentioned. It's a hard lesson for him and Stafford has some learning as well.

Got to be willing to throw balls away and let the defense carry you sometimes.
How come we are still saying this about mcvay and his qb's? (Mcvay was too slow to adjust in this game as mentioned. It's a hard lesson for him and Stafford has some learning as well) this is mcvay may be not being a good enough coach. This is may be Stafford showing who he really is. Goff like. Not a good way to be looked at. Big games matter too. For both of them.

Tough watch here. Man Edwards, Allen, and Corbett got abused so bad. I get they need to be better, but why wouldn't McVay change the protection plan and start leaving a RB in or something? Did he just assume after a half of getting their ass beat 1-on-1 they would just suddenly flip a switch and be able to block their front 4? I just dont get the plan and lack of adjustment in game.

Either Williams was reading his press clippings all summer or aliens replaced him with an imposter. He cost himself a lot of money going into UFA for next year. It's like you said...not even remotely close to the same player as the last few years. Perhaps it's Morris who is asking him to do stuff he cannot do...I don't know...but wow..has he fallen off a cliff. He is playing as if he did get a huge contract already.

I hope there isn't a blueprint now with how to stop this offense.

Where was Von Miller anyway? Is he hurt?
Same blue print as before. We come out with the same shit week after week and get killed when the football gets tough. Nothing new what so ever.

Thank God he's showing us this before we paid him. But yeah, he doesn't look any better than David Long Jr out there.

4 playoff teams.

Bears - decimated secondary.
Colts - decimated secondary.
Bucs - decimated secondary.
Seattle - knocked out Wilson.

Context matters.

We needed this game because Stafford has to learn how to beat playoff caliber teams.

As Brees said - You have to get the ball out. Not hold it and then take a sack or throw an interception.
Yeah, at least throw it away, but not to the other team.
