McVay did adjust in the second half.

Stafford threw two awful INTs and I felt that 3 of the sacks were on him for holding onto the ball too long.

Every player has a bad game from time to time and he's been amazing so I'm not worried. But this game was mostly lost by him IMO.

Stafford was due for a bad game. But the offensive line started the problems. They let people just run free at the QB, and then he made it worse by not getting rid of the ball soon enough. So it's a chicken and egg type of situation.

same ol' we cant change or adjust...

so we win 4 straight, and we are stuck with the same ol' same ol', and cant adjust, when we lose???

a couple of almost consecutive bad plays by our QB, that was last week front running in the MVP talk???

it's the NFL guys... everybody's good...

you get in hot water... you gonna boil or get out..

matthew , had a couple of consecutive miscues... hard to do.. but i'm over it... he's shown to much for me to jump ship, so whatever..

let's go get one on the 9'rs...

it's not all this ramfan cares about, but it will definately cure the fever...

Well Stafford knows this. He said in the post presser that he should of taken what was there and guys were open.

He said he should of gotten the ball out and was looking down field too much.

That's what he says and he's being honest. What isn't being said is that the progression he goes through is what McVay wants. If McVay thought it was a problem during the game why didn't he make the adjustment before halftime? It's exactly what we saw with McVay and Goff. Wanting Goff to read deep when Goff knew his OL wouldn't hold up. It's symptomatic of how Belicheat outcoached McVay in the SB. McVay doesn't adjust well on the fly.

Whether McVay has learned something from his losses is debatable as he's making the same mistakes, something he criticized Goff for. Stafford has to learn to simply do what he knows he has to do and McVay be damned. If he knows the deep pass isn't there then don't spend seconds hoping it will be, get rid of the damn ball, and take the 5 yds.

Stafford is doing what he knows. Most pick 6's among active players. If anything he needs to change his bad habits of trying to do too much.

Well it seems some posters want to blame Stafford and others want to blame Mcvay.

It’s probably a little of both in this game.

Let’s be honest, Mcvay did not throw two interceptions. He also did not hold onto the ball too long on some key sacks.

Conversely, when it became clear our Oline could not hold up on the long developing routes due to getting outmanned up front, why were the long routes still getting called? Why were their not extra blockers brought inline such as RB or TE’s?

We are 7-2 so who cares. We have a really good QB and coach and will get in the tournament for the 4th time in 5 years.

All that really matters is Mcvay and Stafford learn from this. I am confident they will come up with a good plan, they are smart guys.

The regular season is really about compiling plans for the playoffs. These are important losses for our postseason success.

Agreed but he doesn't need to press as much with the Rams. His stint with the Lions is why he was pressing all the time;

I agree. I think almost anyone with his arm that played for a bad team and had to constantly force things to try to win games would have those habits.

Stafford does need to break that habit. They probably talked about it this week and he is a really smart QB that I expect to make that change. Mcvay should also prep him in games vs Teams such as TN. Games where the opposing offense is not that good but the opposing defense is stout. In such games your focus should be ball security and not forcing anything. Give your defense a chance to keep you in it and make plays. Games we play against the Niners every year. Except this year when their defense has fallen off quiet a bit.
